@07jasman This isn't a cover. its the original. the song was written by Ingrid and Marshal Altman, Cheryls label bought and remade it for Cheryl because she is a singer and Ingrid is a SONG WRITER

@07jasman Actually, when Ingrid wrote this song, it was the Cheryl Cole version. But it didn't fit Ingrid's style so she sold it to Cheryl. Ingrid's producer remixed it to be this version that suited Ingrid's style better and she re-fell in love with her own song. Cheryl's is cool, but Ingrid will always win.

Ingrid IS amazing... However I don't like the way she did the song as much as Cheryls. If you listen to how intense the lyrics are about being completely in love with someone, why on earth do her lyrics have soul and depth but her video doesn't. She should have done something better to really convey the lyrics of her song. Frankly the only thing I could focus on watching this was not her voice or the amazing passion of the song but how it didn't match to what I was seeing. With Cheryls I see it.

Everyone has their preference, Stop hating on Cheryl Cole! You can like either versions cause I love both. Cheryl's version sounds more like a ballad while Ingrid's has a indie pop sound to it. The reason why Cheryl's version has more view is because of her popularity in the UK compared to Ingrid's in America. She just has a bigger fan base. Not because she is all sexed up. as ingrid michealson is one of my all time favorite musicians, i struggle with the fact that this video (and all of her videos) don't have more views. the woman is a musical genius when it comes to writing songs on relationships. the metaphors and humor she uses in her songwriting is such a breath of fresh air in today's musical world.

@sefrankie I disagree, but i have a difrent taste for music than most people do. i like the ballet style choreography, and the more classical approach for cheryl cole's version. But i do agree that the large majority of the views are for sexual appeal rather than the art of classical or ballet.

I personally think that you can't compare the two versions of this song. It is like comparing a bird to a fish. Depending on what slandered you hold as "good" one of them will be better. That said I believe that this one is a more emotion version of the song while Cheryl sang it so it is more of a physical song.

They are BOTH EQUALLY EXCEPTIONAL. FIrst off, Cheryl's vid has a unique ballroom dance sequence that makes it seem really cool. However, Ingrid actually makes the video RELATE to the song. This vid may not be all dance, but is visually more cosmic, giving the song a much more universal appeal. I mean come on, who isnt enticed by lots of stars and planets in vids? it makes the whole thing more important than it should be lol. Cheryl might appeal to the masses, but Ingrid's vocals are FAR SUPERIOR

@americanidolfan2350 Ingrid Michaelson wrote the song with Marshall Altman (songwriter/producer) - from what I've read and looked at, Cheryl doesn't write a lot of her songs. It's unfortunate for her. Pretty face, lacking in the vocal department though. As someone mention, she appeals to the masses but her vocals just don't compare to Ingrid's. But you have your opinions and I have mine. And that's fine :)

Ingrid Michaelson wrote and recorded it first. whoever is in charge of Cole's songs (which almost none of are written by her, it's not a bad thing but just saying) came up and bought this song from Michaelson. like, that's fine, apparently Ingrid decided she was cool with it but I think the person who actually wrote the song, especially if they recorded it too, and first, should also get credit. it's okay to like both versions though.
