Awesome song, I really get a sense of the music, and its message. The interview he gave in the documentary "until the light takes us" was amazing. Quality track from a quality band thanks for uploading this.
We listened to the Bergtatt, long time ago and recognized that masterpiece was born. Now ... we listen to Shadows of the Sun, sitting in chair on different planet. Art is infinite ... respect, wolves ... big respect
you can almost hear a clock ticking while listening to this song focused in deep introspect. A simultaneous feeling of slight distress and yet utter calmness.
This song have a profundity that i cannot explain with simple words, maybe the human language cannot be complete to include some highly aesthetical feelings in it. Its just a wittgensteinian problem.
I was on a plane, on my way to see Ulver at Oporto. The sun was slowly appearing on the horizon and I was hearing this song on my Ipod. They oppened their set with Eos. One moment I'll never forget.
Now that one of my grandmothers is dying and my dad is crying, this song is more personal.
"Someone died."
"Someone lives." "In pain..."
Then the theremin comes in and lingers like a thread in the air. That thread connects my dad and his mom for the last time before it fades away to Garm's voice: "It's burning. Into the thin air."
I listen to the last 3 minutes in blankness, slumped against my chair.
When the mantra comes, it's pure catharsis. A small tear leaks out the corner.
this song is so.....i can't describe it, and I don't think anyone can, this is like a message of love and peace....even more so when high.....ITS SO GODDAMN BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The music makes me feel total, and in that totality, there's still emptiness. Childhood memories, traumatic memories, or even memories that never occured cone to me with this song. Beautiful music.
If you save this song on your ps3. Then play it with the screensaver on witch i think this picture is from. Then you get a fantastic video for a fantastic song.
Hey guys I found that these last chanting is actually "Shiva Manasa Puja" Whatever good this music is... Depressive when youre in depression, soothing when youre OK
Such a great song, and the picture goes oh so very well with it. Your channel is one of the best on YouTube, IMO. It's great that somebody is putting this kind of music out there for people to listen to.
The most saddest song I heard in my fucking live.

Taken from another video:
A diamond-studded seat,
Cool water and divine robes.
Jasmine and Champaka flowers,
Bilva leaves and incense.
My chanting of your name that is
like the tasty drinking water,
Scented with camphor.
And prostrations,
And many hymns I offer you.

Coincidence? - I just came here from a spell of playing Red Faction Guerrilla, doing missions in a region called Eos oddly enough.
The lyrics to this song and the image used here all seem very appropriate. The whole things feels quite mesmerising actually.
