  • @DSilvergun DRRI

  • Is this a DRRI or original 65?

  • cool thanks bro, cause my twin~amp is killin my back

i think i need one of these DRRI's

+ when i turn that twin to 7 U CANT hear nothin but some cymbal - pretty much as loud as my 4-12 cab with my XXX, but it has a master vol

  • i guess i just have to grow some mo nuts~

my full stack blew um clean off

  • does this amp at good solid breakup drown a rock drummer?

i really like the tones of this particular amp, just not sure if i will be able to even play in a band situation with this amp on a volume of 7-10.....

  • @twirlyboggs No, it won't drown a rock drummer. Depending on how hard he hits, he will most likely drown the amp. Go for a Super reverb instead

  • @twirlyboggs No, it won't drown a rock drummer. Depending on how hard he hits, he will most likely drown the amp.

  • which fender amp would stay fat and clean all the way at high volumes? they all sound good to me..

  • @44eelz Twin Reverb

  • dont like this amp with my fernandes super grade (LP with gibsons 50 pu). With my ash telecaster 52 style or my alder stratocaster 50 style no problem, but with LP....its not a good pair. this amp (IMO) is only for single PU. Insist: IMO

  • HAMER SPECIAL!!!

  • Sound like the classic Steve Jones / Six Pistols guitarsound !!

  • @Renhjarta it's called sweet jane by lou reed

  • you guys need some balls. any under 50 watt vintage fender amp is completely fine in terms of volume. I wind up my super all the time..no problems.

  • must be nice living in the middle of nowhere...

  • suburban long island. houses everywhere in every direction. Never had any complaints though..

These amps don't get any louder past 4. Just more gainy.

  • i have one in my apartment in SF. i can't turn it up past 2. such a bummer. do you use any external overdrives in front of it that you'd recommend?

  • What kind of tone are ya shooting for?

  • Just like creamy british overdrive. Some nice warm clipping. This would be for brit pop rock kinda sound. Beatles, Stone Roses, The Jam, etc. I considered a TS9, but I'm not 100% sure yet.

  • why would you want classic british tone but own a fender? get a vox ac15hh

  • @GetThatTexasTone it is my hearing, not my balls, that i am concerned with :) oh and i agree, deluxes are fine

  • @GetThatTexasTone You must not live in an apartment.

  • Why would he need ear plugs with the volume at 8 1/2? It's a 22 watt amp... That's a wopping 7 watts louder than the Blues Jr, it's not going to be that much louder.

However, if it was a twin reverb, I'd hope he'd be wearing plugs at 8.5 on the volume =P

  • dude I have this exact same amp. Even having the volume on past 7 is uncomfortably loud.

  • The amp is loud at 8 1/2. The Blues Jr has a linear taper volume....it peaks early.

  • volume on 8 1/2 - damn, that would be LOUD

  • I hope that guy was wearing earplugs with the volume at 8 1/2.

  • Pure Steve Jones/Sex Pistols punk tone !

  • That sounds like The song "sweet Jane" by lou reed especially the live version on rock n roll animal;)
