I hated apple products i thought they were overpriced and then i got the iphone because it was the best phone to pick up skype over 3g and 3g data speeds and touch screen and apple customer service that goes above and beyond, my original 3g was defective and replaced 6 times and the apple csr was very nice and said this isnt how you should see apple products and offered me a brand new 3gs 16 gb upgrade for free no cost at all not even shipping! that made me see apple in a new light

That has been my experience as well. Customer Care is one of the reasons I'm so enthusiastic about Apple and why I am loyal. I've had many sour experiences over the years and it's nice to work with a company that I can trust my money with.

I work in and out of a courthouse which doesn't allow the iPhone on the premises because it has a camera. The iPod touch becomes my PDA while I'm conducting business in those sort of environments. And until the iPhone 3GS came out, the iPod Touch was noticeably quicker than the iPhone and iPhone3G. But yeah, if you have an iPhone, the iPod Touch is just 'nice to have', not really neccessary.

It depends on your needs. I think I could have easily lived with 16GB, especially if you use Simplify to stream your music from your computer. That would leave the rest of the memory free for things like all the video you'll be shooting.

Apparently the White iPhones were selling out quicker than the black ones so I assume white is now the most popular color. I imagine many 3G customers who bought black are buying white so they can tell them apart. But if you're really geeky, you'll notice that the text printed on the back of the phone is shiny on the 3G S ;)
