4 year old Ballet Class at Local YMCA rehersal

This is my daughters "Ballet Rhythms" class and yes, it is ballet. It is ballet for their age group and levels of beginners. Love it for the kids and how they are performing, not because the name of the dance steps. Come on, get real! And we, as parents of these dancers, can't call it anything than what it is. We didn't give the class their name.

This is not ballet. Four year old children are smart enough to dance real ballet steps. Dance teachers need to expose the very young children to classical music. This is not the first or only "ballet" for this age group I've seen and it bothers me every time. If you don't think this age group is ready to learn real ballet steps then call this character dance and quit trying to pass it off as ballet!
