  • how can i read tolkiens books online ? or where doi buy em ? anyone ?

  • Is it me or do many of the scenes in LOTR that involve a lot of CG (like this one, but also Minas Tirith, etc) have some kind of lag?

  • may i ask? these statues are Isildur and Annarion? The two brothers who ruled the empire of gondor and led its armies to mount doom?

  • guys i dont know what u think but inside the books and the movies hides a story...that became history....

  • One of the coolest movie scenes ever????? :)

  • i wonder why annarion was removed altogether out of the films.....

  • @LordAzanko

    What is Annarion?

  • @Jammed9000 Annarion was isildur's brother he was killed in the battle of mount doom during the second age

  • @LordAzanko

Well, I'm guessing he's not in the movies because he is totally unessential to the plot. You might as well ask why they cut out Tom Bombadil.

  • @Jammed9000 i disagree tom bombadil was really not necessary to the plot annarion on the other hand was one of the main characters of the second age he ruled gondor jointly with islidur and he co lead the armies of gondor when they attacked mordor in the war of the last alliance

  • @LordAzanko

So? What does he bring to the narrative OTHER than being Isildur's brother?

  • @Jammed9000 well guess only for the beginning of the movie oh well.....alright then how about gil galad?...he was an enemy of sauron

  • @LordAzanko

Isn't Gil Galad only in The Silmarillion?

  • @Jammed9000 he was born during the first age but he had more to do with the age that came afterwards since he ruled lindon when sauron tried to conquer middle earth

  • @Jammed9000 yeah...y did they cut Tom Bombadil?

  • @LordAzanko ...by the power of the ring.....sauron killed him....

  • there was said they both had axe but one is holding a sword instead

  • @sakugaaruto Yes, you're right! I'd never noticed this before. :-)

  • The argonaths reminds me the Cristo Redentor, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

By the way, a excellent scene from the movie...
