  • Good, if a little blurry. I used Crop Tool instead of marquee, per a comment on here. Otherwise a great little tutorial video. Thanks.

  • why does it stands Some images cannot be automatically aligned

  • at 4:20 just use CROP tool. No need to renew the file.

  • @DragonToko Thanks for stating the obvious, I just tried this & didn't have enough room in my clipboard to do what TruVisionMedia did.

  • Dont be so nervous man! YOu make me nervous tooo.

  • dude can I just send you the pictures so you can photomerge them for me, all I need is your email. I've tried downlowding a trail of photoshop but it never works for me please!

  • thanks dude..that was awesome..

  • any command to automaticly cut out the biggest possible piece?

  • Thanks! Very useful.

  • Thank you so much for this tutorial! I have been looking for a way to stitch some aerial shots together into a big map and although I have tons of software for creating panos, none of them will assemble images without correcting lens distortion (at least, not without massive effort that isn't really worth the end result.) I had no idea this feature was in CS3 and you've saved me hours of work. Thank you thank you thank you!

  • You get a low mark for not being able to pronounce cylindrical.

  • i am trying to do a photomerge i use all the different features perspective etc. but it keeps giving one of the pictures that i take. i have the camera set on auto and when i take the pics i make sure i have them over lap.

  • Thanks so much for putting useful tutorial

    I learn a lot

    Please add more tutorial

    God bless:-)

  • I am trying to use the photomerge tool to combine 12X12 scrapbook pages that I have scanned with a 8.5x11 scanner. They merge beautifully except there is a chunk in the corners that is that checkerboard. I can't figure out why. That piece of the photo is in the originals. HELP!

  • What cam software are you using or how are you zooming?

  • why wouldnt you just crop the image instead of cutting it out and repasting in a new window...to much extra workflow

  • I actually think I figured out the problem. A lot of my panoramics are actually indoors so the problem could be because the area I'm taking pictures of are just simply too close. I recently tried taking a panoramic of a landscape and it worked like a charm. Thanks a lot though!

  • I just tried what you did in the tutorial but no matter what I do, my Photoshop CS3 keeps giving me a pop-up that says "Some images cannot be automatically aligned." on every option. After that, the panorama just stops building. Any idea what this is? Thanks in advance!

  • Have you tried the interactive layout? This allows you to align the pictures yourself.

  • Very very helpful!!!

Ive got one problem, as my photo is quite complicated - a group shot of the 7 sins, you can really see where its been put together, and the healing brush isn't helping at all!!

Is there something else I could do?

Thank you again. A very clear helpful tutorial!!

  • how abut 2 .gif files?? can u teach me

  • i follow your instruction but it doesnt merge at all..it promted me taht some files cannnot be aligned?..whats wrong wih this?

  • hmm, send me your photos and I'll have a go at it.

  • I know this is an old comment but are you sure that your images actually overlap? If it can't find common points between them (due to gaps) it won't be able to align them.

  • GREAT VIDEO THANKS.

  • Lenses have a fall off area at the sides with slight vignette effect so when doing an overlap you need to have 30 to 50%. Also you need to set exposure to manual.

  • Good info to know. Didn't know about the "slight vignette" with lenses. And great tip on the exposure...maybe that will clear up the sky issues I've been having. Thanks Jim!

  • Hello Al, frame. Another tip is to turn the camera to an upright format. as the image is rectangle the sides of the image have less lens distortions as a landscape format. The reason for such overlap is the nearer the lens centre the less distortion. Final tips for veryone - use a tripod with a spirit level and do not use the wide-angle setting on the camera. Regards, Jim
