All those people who say you could possibly have a female space marine, you cannot. Space Marines go through high levels of genetic augmentation, augmentation that would kill a woman. This is because the augmentation is deigned to work with the X chromosome only men possess.
The Sisters of Battle undergo similar augmentation they can survive, so there is your female space marines, so dont pull the equal opportunities card, its 40K, no-one cares, deal with it.

They are not a chapter of the space marines. They are a different fighting army for the Imperium, like the difference between the Space Marines and the Grey Knights. A space marine chapter is like the Imperial Fists, Ultramarines, Black Templars, Crimson Fists, and the Space Wolves. One of those might be a regrenade chapter now, Crimson Fists?
As stated in the marines generic codex (I think, CSM player) the gene seed is only for males. However, in the Battle Sisters, females are like space marines, and I believe the same stats. They do use different equipment such as compact bolters, for example.

I see the appeal of changing the characters appearence, but i hardly see the fun in making yourself a god. The only way having the ability to kill in one or two shots would be fun is if there was a shitload of enemies, and you had t constantly reload to kill them all
I'm going to have to point out a few misconceptions about this vid 1) Battle sisters are not Space wolfs which is the Armour you used in this mod. 2)that the scope on the bolter actually does nothing in the real game its just flair really. i know I'm an asshole but really its better to be informed about this sort of thing. Space Marines generally refer to each other as "Battle Brothers." Since she can't be a brother, I just said sister. It's not a misconception, but an intentional error of sorts.
The scope on the bolter actually zooms in like a sniper scope in game. Unless you mean tabletop.

I know all of this. Some people get their knickers in a bunch over the idea of a female space marine, but I personally don't mind so long as the fact that they're female never takes precedence over the fact they're an Astartes. The only difference between a male and female one should be that one just happens to be a girl.
In the video description it says "Battle Sister" because Marines tend to refer to one another as "Battle Brothers", so I changed it to represent the gender.

I shall now clarify myself in more detail; story goes mass suicide turns infant boy into demi-god, demi-god male takes over, demi-god emperor (as he calls himself) controls a small unit of troops "clones" if you may for his private army of soon-to-be generals, these generals then make gene-copys of their own, and so forth until a civil war kills almost all of the generals/Primarches...
I know a lot about the 40k lore, especially the whole deal with the Emperor and the Primarchs; I started out reading about the Space Marines.
I guess what I'm clearing up is the female in the video, Artemis, is not a Sister of Battle, but a Space Marine. In my little Fallout 3 world female Space Marines can exist, because it's non canon and bald male heroes are boring.

The idea of a female Space Marine actually intrigues me and I wonder why in the creation of the lore, the Emperor only had sons instead of daughters. Not really physically impossible, just improbable. Men make better feedstock for marines as they are generally stronger and more muscled. There is nothing to say a woman could not become a marine
Actually, it has to do with the fact that the genetic material of the primarchs can only work with Males.
Female have a near 100% rejection rate for the organ implants (Save for any children of the primarchs, who do not exist outside of fanfiction)
It has nothing to do with muscularity, since the enhancement process does that (Space Marines are recruited from 10-14 year olds, puberty is the engine that provides the growth that makes space marines 8 foot tall death machines)
It's tailored genetically for male hormones and the male physiology, but I can see a female surviving it with an immense amount of determination and an even larger amount of luck.
It's all how much you're willing to accept the concept of a female Space Marine, really. Personally, I don't mind it. So long as they remain the the killing machines that male Space Marines are.

I'm going to have to point out a few misconceptions about this vid 1) Battle sisters are not Space wolfs which is the Armour you used in this mod. 2)that the scope on the bolter actually does nothing in the real game its just flair really. i know I'm an asshole but really its better to be informed about this sort of thing. Space Marines generally refer to each other as "Battle Brothers." Since she can't be a brother, I just said sister. It's not a misconception, but an intentional error of sorts.
The scope on the bolter actually zooms in like a sniper scope in game. Unless you mean tabletop.

yes and still i credit you as a an/player of sorts i do in fact mean the tabletop game as it is the only one presently being fucked by 10 year old children and new rules which I'm sure it will only be a matter of time till what we've just saw becomes a reality in the realm of WH:40K until then here's to hoping someone finally brings back 3rd. edition rules and main codex functions back to normal.

I know all of this. Some people get their knickers in a bunch over the idea of a female space marine, but I personally don't mind so long as the fact that they're female never takes precedence over the fact they're an Astartes. The only difference between a male and female one should be that one just happens to be a girl.
In the video description it says "Battle Sister" because Marines tend to refer to one another as "Battle Brothers", so I changed it to represent the gender.

@InnocentBlood well if you read up on the books you'll know the Sisters of Battle are in no way a Space Marine. I shall now clarify myself in more detail; story goes mass suicide turns infant boy into demi-god, demi-god male takes over, demi-god emperor (as he calls himself) controls a small unit of troops "clones" if you may for his private army of soon-to-be generals, these generals then make gene-copys of their own, and so forth until a civil war kills almost all of the generals/Primarches...

I know a lot about the 40k lore, especially the whole deal with the Emperor and the Primarchs; I started out reading about the Space Marines.
I guess what I'm clearing up is the female in the video, Artemis, is not a Sister of Battle, but a Space Marine. In my little Fallout 3 world female Space Marines can exist, because it's non canon and bald male heroes are boring.

@InnocentBlood I chuckle at the comments from the previous guys. The idea of a girl invading their manly-man man club of huge, old men seems to have really struck a nerve. The idea of a female Space Marine actually intrigues me and I wonder why in the creation of the lore, the Emperor only had sons instead of daughters. Maybe he wanted to spare women the horror of becoming a bio-engineered hulk of muscle suited only for war.
Or maybe the Emperor is latently homosexual. Lol.

Nice stuff! Would have liked to see the plasma gun fire tho...and I suggest you snip most of the running about (aside from bits when showing poses in 3rd person). Other than that, good showcase video :) might just try this mod

Not really physically impossible, just improbable. Men make better feedstock for marines as they are generally stronger and more muscled. There is nothing to say a woman could not become a marine

Actually, it has to do with the fact that the genetic material of the primarchs can only work with Males.
Female have a near 100% rejection rate for the organ implants (Save for any children of the primarchs, who do not exist outside of fanfiction)
It has nothing to do with muscularity, since the enhancement process does that (Space Marines are recruited from 10-14 year olds, puberty is the engine that provides the growth that makes space marines 8 foot tall death machines)

It's tailored genetically for male hormones and the male physiology, but I can see a female surviving it with an immense amount of determination and an even larger amount of luck.
It's all how much you're willing to accept the concept of a female Space Marine, really. Personally, I don't mind it. So long as they remain the the killing machines that male Space Marines are.
