Falkirk Wheel Rotating

i've been to the falkirk wheel and it is slow becasue it uses a small engine and that only start it turning and then that slows down and then Gravity then comes in to play and turns it around and then they have a brake system which slows it down and then the boat leave and it happens all over again.
