He was a guy from a commercial in the 90's (a beer commercial, I believe.) I don't remember how the commercial went or what company it was for but I do remember the "Yes I am" line he used to say.
i know, Classic Dave is funny as hell, but sadly Dave of now.... its just age , hes getting too old. i suggest reruns, (after Dave retires) I still think he shouldv'e got the Tonight Show back in 1992, Dave got a raw deal
Well I don't really thing it's his AGE that kills it, I think Dave, like everyone else, is changing with the times, what people consider humor today is different than what people liked 10 years ago. Everything today has to be more "serious" comedy I guess you could say which is boring to me.
recently dave's shows have been excellent. Paris hilton, phoenix, rachael ray, john mccain. he's in the form of his career

Such a shame he doesn't do this sort of stuff now, no pre-taped stuff with him in it. :(

Cut and paste the following into the search for the identity of the "director" at the end.
Budweiser® Dr Galakowitz • Yes I Am 1995

The "director" is Eddie Jemison, who, aside from the Bud commercials, was in all the Ocean's movies and is now in Hung.

this happened @ sullivan theater, the 6A control at 39 rock is right outside the studio floor doors...
what's the joke w/guy who playing the director?
wiedep 3 years ago
This is actually from a really early CBS Late Show... that's clearly the Ed Sullivan Theater, not 30 Rock

No.. this is from when he was at NBC.
allbu849 3 years ago
No, MikeChuk is right; this was from the Late Show in 2004. Hal Gurnee was Dave's longtime director until 2005 when Jerry Foley took over.
