  • I want the old Navy back. Boot camp was WAY too easy!

  • Navy bootcamp is a joke lol be glad you guys aint coming to the big dog branch the U.S marine corps

  • @MasterSylvio I gotta admit I'm almost certain you're right about that one. I don't think I could have made it through Marine boot camp. Navy boot camp wasn't too bad.

  • 8:00 That guy in the middle is just chillaxing there.... WTF!!!! If I did not seat properly at my Coast Guard boot camp, I would have get beaten so bad that it was ridiculous!

  • Anyone leave 20120222?

  • what if you're willing to go anywhere in the US but not overseas?

  • @GREASYMANN504 Then don't join the military. Period.

  • @BushyX Im shipping soon wtf are you talking about..i was just asking..and If i have to go overseas i will... so suck on it you douche..

  • @GREASYMANN504 I was answering your question asshole. More military members than ever are going overseas nowadays. 92 people out of my class of 101 from tech school went overseas, most of them to Turkey, Germany, Italy, and England. You can try putting only CONUS bases on your dream sheet, but your dream sheet doesn't count for shit. Besides why would you not wanna go overseas? I am stuck in fuckin Missouri, I wish I had been sent overseas. But 100% way to not go overseas is not not join.

  • @BushyX the reason being that my mother is sick and i dont wanna be too far for an emergency..but if i do have to go ill go..

  • @GREASYMANN504 There is something called a Red Cross notification. It is used if family members become violently ill or in the event of their death. If you get one of these or are notified by any other means that something unfortunate happens to an immediate family member you are able to take emergency leave immediately and go home.

  • anyone else think the guy at 1:12 looks like kevin bacon lol

  • leaving for great lakes 20120307 anyone leaving around that date? hit me up

  • Wow the military recruitment center really tries hard to make boot camp look like a country club. But once your in you will be in for the shock of your life. You will be saying " this is not how it was on that You Yube video I watched"

  • @duncan7599 Ain't that the truth.

  • kevin bacon 1:11

  • Hey I have a video of the OFFICIAL workout or "beating" your RDC will be giving you at Navy boot camp. Check it out, should help!

  • Old as fuck

  • ssssssailors

  • This is OLD! I was an RDC from 1999-2002, this was filmed back then, I recognize many of the people in the video.

  • Leaving tomorrow...fingers crossed...

  • Comment removed

  • the majority of stuff seen here i didn't see any of. no tires, no reading skills, this video is much older than 2007

  • i went to great lakes in sep of 07

  • I ship 20120508, and I'm using Youtube and making Video Vlogs about it to keep me motivated.

  • Why would you join the Navy if you didn't know how to swim?

  • @bobmclightning ALOT of people join the navy without knowing how to swim, They do it because its where they believe they belong.

  • @TokyoAro my step dad said most of the people that couldnt swim were black, haha

  • @LoudMoonCricket Lmfao thats funny

  • People who fight for our country all deserve the same respect. Ones not better than the other.

  • Man in door O course isn't that some action.

  • Yikes I think we didnt have to wake up til 4am...lol none of that 330 stuff. Incidentally, while I was there, 9/11 happened. It was in my last 10 days. Made everything kind of craaazy.

  • @YaelleG my brother went in and he said you didnt do much in the last week, so at least 9 11 didnt mess uo anything extremely important

  • @YaelleG When I went there was no sleep at all the first night. Plus I had to get up at like 0400 the morning i left to go there, no sleep for about 40 hours. Wasn't very fun.

  • @cardsforlife yeah that may have been the most difficult part - the lack of sleep. It made all the other hard parts well...harder. Because lack of sleep will mess you up!! As for the knowing how to swim its not a big deal, you just have to learn.

  • im joining the army and this looks pretty cool but not for me

  • @cptromero5595 same

  • @cptromero5595 same

  • fuck the navy... ArMY

  • @freddy2715 fuck you im in the navy

  • @freddy2715 the army can suck it, seals and marines all the way

  • @freddy2715 fuck you. The armed forces are all equal. they have ONE objective. Im joining the Naval Academy and im a sea cadet. The army's boot camp isnt that hard.

  • do you get in trouble for fighting in bootcamp

  • I should have joined the navy, army makes this look like a joke

  • Not trying to be mean or anything, but if you are going to join the navy, you should already know how to swim. (no offense)

  • How do the Petty Officers choose the ARPOC and AROC?

  • wow this seems harder than Marine Boot Camp

  • @UserNotWelcome your ass gets sent home

  • What's the "Moment of truth"?

  • @Oddball21Airborne

In moment of truth, you are instructed to tell about anything that you might need to tell the Navy that they may not have discovered in your backgroundcheck and stuff so they can "fix it".

Fixing it is almost always going to get you disqualified and discharged from the Navy, my friend was disqualified because he thought he MIGHT have ADHD. another was disqualified because he took remedial math in 2nd grade lol.

    DONT ADMIT TO ANYTHING

  • @93sifuentes Well I have ADD. Is that bad?

  • @93sifuentes shows how much intergrity you have.. I just got separated from the navy, and yes I did do the moment of truth.. But that didnt disqualify me, I was released 4 days before graduation for medical reasons.. And I plan on going back..

  • This looks so relaxed... nothing like the firestorm I ran into on my 1st day at MCRD Parris Island! OHH RAH!!

  • i say f the boot cam thats right i said it

  • @rbnorcott so you are saying people who serve in the military are idiots because they can't read? Last time I checked the enemy didn't give a damn if you could read or not. If someone wants to serve in the military let them serve. It shouldn't be based if you can read or not.

  • What a joke. Literary classes for morons who can't read?

  • why do they call it rotc? its not college...... and its not reserve officer training corps....cause thats college....and Jrotc is highschool. I am lost.

  • they said rtc not rotc and rtc stands for recruit traing command located in none other than great lakes illinois

  • DON'T STAND UP IN THE MOMENT OF TRUTH!!! TRUST ME!

  • @BRUTALrelentless lol may i ask why

  • @BRUTALrelentless what happens exactly during the moment of truth?

  • @Brooklyn1530 They tell you to come clean if you lied on your application because they know you did, but they actually don't. And if you decide to stand up and say that you lied because you think your gonna make everything right, you will kicked out of the navy. The moment of truth is a scare tactic so don't be scared of it and keep your seat! Hope this helps =)

  • @BRUTALrelentless lmao i thought it was this way on the application...NO=Navy Opportunity, YES = Your Enlistment Stops lol its good to know bro haha i'm clean though cause i would have worst people to answer to than the navy...my parents lol so i'm clean 100%

  • Comment removed

  • you can get waivers for any tattoos, tattoos do not inhibit you joining unless they are gang related or profane

  • This looks fun, marine corp boot camp was fun as hell.

  • does anyone know if tattoos limit you from doing things in the navy??

  • @redbullusa1000

I have tattoos and am trying to get in the navy...they do frown upon it and if they r on ur hands, neck, or face it is immediate disqualification...mine are on my arms and i have to have special interviews and fill out several forms explaining why i got them and what they mean...i have a good shot at getting in (my recruiter told me) but it's not 100% yet...any tatt that is sexual or gang related will disqualify u...talk to a recruiter and he will make a call on ur tatts

  • @monoxide99 oh alrite thanks man good luck on getting in

  • this dosnt look so hard

  • the food was good.

  • i wish marines went to navy bootcamp first then marines then mct then mos training

  • when would they get the uniform the instructor wears

  • @cody3395 It depends on the instructor, The NSU's the Petty Officers wear are Tan Top Black Bottom, and will be issued week 3 or 4. The Tan on Tan are Chief's, Senior Chiefs, Master Chiefs, or An Officer. This must be earned and can take 8-12 years. But the uniforms in this video are mostly phased out. Now we have NWU's, NSU's, Dress Whites, and Dress Blues. Other than that it depends on you Job. I.E.- Cover Alls or Flight Deck.

  • 56 Marines disliked this.

  • @jasperman515 dude marines ARE part of the NAVY its sad how you think marines could dislike this ive i have family members in the NAVY and Marines they seem to get along just well its civilians like you that bring up "Marines suck" or "NAVY is gay" the only dispute is between civilians not our military

  • @1TeamParadox Ive never been Stationed anywhere that i didnt work or see Marines. Even here in Japan. IDK what they do. LOL. But they are here and part of the team

  • @hickinwv from what i heard of marines in Japan recieve additional training yea ur rite they are here and part of our team i love our military regarless what branch it is

  • There trainings need to be indoors because it is where they will spend the majority of time working (inside of a ship or sub). If their job is not on the ship, they get the proper training later on.

  • LOL SMART CARD. WTF IS THAT CUTE SHIT? XD in a month im gonna be getting yelled at for breathing! :D i respect the navy though as all the branches of the millitary.

  • @Akumasl4yer IN the US you better respect the navy. The United States Navy is the most impressive military weapon in the world and i'm saying this to you as a Canadian.

  • Is it just me, or is the Navy seem more like a school for the weak compared the the Marine Corp and Army? I mean everything is indoors and they never get dirty!

  • @MrJasonacord considering the marines is a branch of the Navy....... and why make a sailor get dirty if his life is on a ship? common sense =)

  • @MrJasonacord believe me bro somebody whose been to marine bootcamp and have lots of army relatives ill tell you army bootcamp is a cake walk especially now since its been its been weakend down. At first there all hard no matter what branch since your a civilian and all thats unless you have been military trained since your birth

  • @MrJasonacord the army basic training is actually pretty easy. I went through it. the AF is harder.

  • When I saw those little cups I was like, "How the fuck am I supposed to fill that?". Then I almost pissed all over the recruiting office restroom.

  • Indoor ?!? Luckyy nothing like ft. benning

  • They now sleep until 0600 they get 8 hours of sleep they usta only get 6

  • @longboardlord17

    Your fake and gay.

  • Fake and gay

  • @LongboardLord17 since its "fake and gay", why are thousands of military personel sacrificing themselves to save your ass?

  • @TheBrianPerreault Save your ass from whom? More like protecting big corporations interests...

  • @eringuet You can't drive to you job with you coffee to a building with power without fucking OIL

  • and btw, yes i too am embarassed of this "new" bootcamp, yes it is softter than before, and even us slightly older school sailors laugh at it, its a sneaker camp now, but whatever, at least i did mine in boots

  • the navy is a diferent kind of toughness, i was on uss kearsarge, an amphibious assault ship from 98 to 04 did three , the first kosovo in croatia then a peactime cruise then the iraq deployment, and everytime the marines just about loose there shit. being on a boat for that long living in the conditions we live in, the beg for there mommys care packages and whine like anyone else who isnt a sailor, pretty ask us how the fuck can we do this for years on end. so i guess its all relative

  • @mbard91678 if they loose their shit for being on a boat for 6 months, imagine a submarine haha

  • @Str8Trapstar90 yeah well i didnt have the pleasure of being a bubble head, and i think i like it that way, the boats are cramped but god damn, subs are just rediculous. on the iraq tour we had about 1800-2000 sailors and like 2500-3000 marines, maybe a little less but between 4000-5000people on an amphib is pretty crazy too

  • I never tried to Lefti. I was making a satirical statement based on the previous statements that try to compare basic Navy boot camp to Marine boot camp. I serve either branch so I'm not taking a bias stand to either.

  • I'm not sure why you are all trying to compare this to the other branches of the Military. Basic Bootcamp is ust citizens in uniform following orders and doing a few push ups with some tight marches from A to B.

The only real 'hard' training are in specialized operations divisions: Rangers, SEALs, etc.

Most of the Navy aren't combat positions as far as I know, and most of the Marines' are in combat positions or at least in combat areas.

Marine bootcamp is also "summer camp" compared to SEAL camp

  • @gamingdolan360 You cant even compare Marine bootcamp to "SEALs camp" which is called BUDs (Basic Underwater Demolition) Marine bootcamp is basic recruit training, BUDs and SEAL indoc is for and elite special forces group. Of course BUD's is harder, and ranger school isnt even that bad I would rather do that than SOI in the Marine Corps

  • this is like heaven to marine boot camp..

  • @jumpfree77 it is less hard than the marines, but you got to remember they wont show you everything on a 7 minute youtube video, they do yell, ALOT, and do get in ur face.

  • @THEDARKSA1NT that is very true. i think the navy learns more usefull stuff also. but im not either so i wouldnt know. they just make the navy video very friendly haha.

  • @jumpfree77 lol of course they sound friendly, its a recruiting video.

  • What if they find marijuana in your system? I want to have fun before I leave off to Navy.

  • @SinSeared : Just give yourself 40-60 days to get your system clean. You'll piss clean.

  • This looks like a summer camp compared to Marines O.o

  • @bobjoemagee Do you really think the Navy need DI's training future Sailors?

  • @bobjoemagee hah right

  • I don't know i saw this video after seeing a Marines one this seems a lot more calmed unlike the Marines it was way more aggressive. I would like to go to the navy to go and try out for Navy seals or SWCC i believe is how its spelled.

  • I love getting a haircut at NEX...as a civilian that is haha

  • I like how they show all black people during the swim portion

  • That's there 5min phone call? Way better then mine! We had a drill sergeant in our bay making sure we only said what he told us. Also I wouldn't call that a boot camp. More like hmm... I can't even think of a word for it, somthing soft sounding

    ..

  • @ThePilotman818 sandle camp lol

  • In the swimming-related training in Navy Bootcamp, are recruits only permitted to use freestyle swimming technique, or are they permitted to use other common swimming techniques, like breaststroke technique?

  • Navy after highschool! Can't wait!!

  • @HipHopHead95 DONT DO IT AAAAAAAAHH O_O I JOINED AND I CANT GET OUT.

  • @ShelbySabotage What do you mean?

  • @HipHopHead95 good luck man

  • @Princec5 Thanks for the support.

  • @HipHopHead95 i came in 8 years ago.....im still in so if you have any questions or concerns hit me up

  • navy is soft, marines ftw.

  • @xxxEmmureOwnxxx tell that to the SEALs

  • @thereviewer1234 i already told them....

  • @xxxEmmureOwnxxx The Marine Corps. is a department of the Navy

  • A FIVE MINUTE PHONE CALL!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

God damn, Im suprised they dont get to check facebook too.

  • LOL wtf Im sorry but I cant take a woman yelling at me seriously.

  • @nitestryker7 Sexist.

  • @Chaundra123 HAHA. Save your politically-correct crap for someone who cares. I spent 4 years in a Marine Corps infantry battalion. A female would break down into tears in a heartbeat from where I came from. Females are too much maintenance and drama, especially when you get a bunch of sexually-charged 18 and 19 year old guys around them. Too much B.S. and then mission focus is lost.

So dont give me your "zomg sexist" crap lady, until you have a well-defined idea of what ur talking about.

  • Unless all you people who are criticizing the Navy are Delta Force members, you're in no position to talk.

And if you are a member of the armed service, then shame on you, show some solidarity!

  • @TheDebubba I went to Boot Camp in Paris Island in Jan of 85 & as soon as the receiving sargent step on to that bus it was like a flash grenade with a can of whoop ass just open up on every recruit that was on that bus. In other words it was hell! So when I saw this, I just couldn't belive what I was watch'n. I respect every branch, but this...I still can't belive this is what goes on in Navy Boot Camp.

  • @macreal65

I myself am enlisted in the Navy. I'm supposed to leave for bootcamp in January. I watched this vid to see what I should expect, and to be honest, I didn't think it would be as easy as the vid makes it seem.

Regardless I've been conditioning for the past 3 months and I plan to continue to do so until January when I leave. Just in case it actually is as hard as I'm expecting it to be.

  • @TheDebubba I'm sure that you will do well young man. The decipline part is much more tougher then the phisycal, & it seem's if you got that part taken care of. So Anchors Away my boy. Go make your country, family & yourself proud. OooooooRaaaaah!

  • @macreal65 LMFAO!

  • @pettyofficer30 Encouragement, come on. It will be good for young lad.

  • Navy is soft

  • @Froguy14 Say that to the SEALs...

  • NAVY boot camp? More like FAG camp.

  • @duncan7599 Doubt it. Otherwise Me nor my father would've been born.

  • @duncan7599 How Fucking Ignorent Are you. How about you try to go through Boot Camp and then we will see how fucking gay you think this is. People Like You Diserve to be shot...
