  • Wow, what a pretty horse. Did you sell him?

  • It looks like Monty Roberts' method, but would be better if they were on a circus.

  • wow i guess he's not used to Saddles before but i wonder how he's doing now

  • Yea ive got youngsters that are dead quiet and acted like this when saddled for the first couple times

  • You need a round pen my friend.

  • why isnt there a pad on under the saddle??? he was probably bucking out of pain...

  • @caitlynjenna1234 if a saddle fits properly u only need a saddle pad to protect the saddle from the horses sweat, not having a saddle pad would not course any pain unless the saddle doesnt fit.

  • @caitlynjenna1234 A young horse being saddled for the first time without a pad does not "buck in pain" without a pad... even if the saddle fits wrong. Firstly, you don't know how tight the cinch is done up, and I can guarantee you this horse is bucking because he doesn't like the squeeze of the girth as it is "the 2nd time the horse ever had a saddle on him". If a saddle is uncomfy for a horse, it takes a good weight to make it obvious to a horse, especially if he is focusing more on the girth..

  • please let me come ride him :P haha my pony does this alot as well :) well held

  • How was the first ride? :p Gorgeous horse though! He must be like: Oh yeaaaahh. Struting my stuff :) But he looks amazing, later on in the video he starts to behave a little better. He starts to canter instead of bucking and leaping. It's pretty goood.

  • He doesnt look scared to me. He looks like he has attitude and is showing it! Some young ones (and some older ones!) just do that.

  • maybe he is bucking because there is no saddle pad, it might be uncomfortable. my horse does this kind of wild bucking when I lunge him no tack in a roundpen with a whip, or maybe there is something wrong with the tack.

  • Guy's stop with all the comments on how this horse is 'scared' if you read the description its the 2nd time the horse has ever had a saddle on him. Prehaps when you backed your horse or whatever it didn't react to the saddle but some horses do and this is an example of it.

  • I WANT TO RIDE THAT.

  • My horse throws his head and bucks when I click him into canter, just his way of being excited. He stops it after a couple of circles. no harm done here ;) Good work!!!

  • @horseygurly Can I use this clip if I give you credit? I want to make a horse riding is not easy video.:)

  • I love how the dog off to the far left is just like; "LOL WTF IS GOING ON?" xD

Lovely horse.. Very uhm. Spirited. Yeah, spirited.

  • well someone's got a bitta energy :P gorgeous colouring!

  • like this if you post on almost every video

  • very very preety pony

  • wheres the saddle pad

  • WHy don't you have a saddle PAD on the horse? The saddle is probably rubbing on him

  • aww bless cheeky boy have a feeling my little pony will do this lol when i finally manage to catch the little bugger :P arn't youngesters the best *rolls eyes* :L x

  • he's gorgeous :D

  • that horse is mental but really pretty you should put it in showing! ;)

  • People clearly have no idea what they're talking about. I have worked with rescue ponies and problem ponies, I admitt I am no youngster expert but all horse's that are not used to it will respond this way unless they're extremley dosile. His body language is reading 'fun, fun, fun and what the hell is this?'' Once he understood correctly he carried on because it is exciting for horses to do something they aren't used too, he handled the situation well and kept his body language calm and relaxed

  • as to not scare the horse. This horse was not 'scared to death' it was merley getting used to the fact it had something on it's back. A lot of horses react this way when 1st being worked with. At least he had the decency and patience to lunge 1st, the correct way to get his horse used to a saddle instead of jump on it straight away thinking it will just know how to be ridden then cry when he fell off like most of you would!

Gorgeous horse and well controlled :-)

  • @emaieoghanahally

so agree with you on this I think it was lunged really well!! the handler just kept it going forward and working it through the babyness, most definitely the right thing to do! :P

  • @BringoutheBest Haha thankyou! :-) finally someone that understands what to do! Haha and yes! :P Its such a gorgeous pony as well, definatley going to be fun to break in :P

  • omg the comments to this vidio are mad lol ivseen scared horses this is not 1 and 2 how can you keep asking this horsee to keep going onto walk when he/she is playing up i would personally of just let he/she go round and round till she stopped bin silly then asked for walk trot canter coz tbh there is not alot you can do when there doing that is there

  • That is one p*ssed off pony LOL

  • i prefer to turn them loose in a roundpen with the saddle on, then your not pulling on their mouth and its not as a intense experience for the horse, its also good to work them in the round pen with other horses that are also being back or who have been backed, it works well, some technique 'ruin' the horse and it can be tricky to start fresh when horses dont forget these things

  • You should try Parelli's way. like i do. forget the rope!!!!

  • He's naughty, but by God he's gorgeous!

  • Looks like a very calm ride, how much;-)!<3

  • @jVORNANEN Well for startis with a young horse, you would walk it round on a lose lung rain, then ask for tort if she/he starts to play up you make her go back to walk, and do this till she trots with out playing up.

then you can ask for canter and once agin if she plays up make herr go back to walk and start over, you have to be patient with young horses, or this happens!! and you are pulling in her mouth and she is fiating back.

  • Well that will put the horse of lunging for the rest off his life.

  • @horseandpony100 Its a youngster, nothing fazes them!If it was in that much pain it would realise its not getting anywhere and be stubborn. Ive had young horses and im not ashamed to say this is exactly what I did. And we sucessfully managed to back them without any problems :) *Great video tbw!:-)!!)xx

  • @Emmjayne997 I back horses for people and if they saw me do this to there horse i think i would shot me!!!!! This is a really bad way to back a horse and the horse is sceard to death !!

  • @horseandpony100 Uhm... try again? The horse simply wants the saddle off. its not scared....

  • @horseandpony100 He's fully backed now and does not buck at all. He was just a little excited. It has not 'put the horse of lunging for the rest of his life'. He is not 'scared to death'.

  • @horseygurly It looks like he is just being defiant. That's what they do sometimes. He is definitely not scared.

  • @horseandpony100 That had nothing to do with the longe line (it's not "lunging" by the way). It was about the saddle feeling weird to him. This kind of thing is quite normal when a horse is first getting the feel of a saddle. I'm not surprised to hear that he is going fine now. The trainer is obviously calm and competent about the whole thing -- nothing to worry about here, really. Beautiful pony!

  • @horseandpony100 It's a step that all horses who are going to be ridden need to take, of course the horses natural instinct will be to try and get the saddle off because it is something that wraps itself around the horse and reminds it of a predator. The horse will soon see that the saddle is no threat and as the owner said, he is fine now so that was a bit of an odd thing to say.

  • @horseandpony100 stop being such a 'know it all!' becuase clearly you know fuck all, obviously this horse was getting backed, and this must of being the first time of wearing a saddle so some horses re-act like that. so why dont you shut your face& stop being a know-it-all.

  • @horseandpony100

when equines are still getting used to tack they will buck and go beserk but its a part of life for all broken horses

  • @horseandpony100 every horse has a slightly different reaction to wearing the saddle just like every trainer is slightly different. i have seen many horses wear a saddle for the first time and they just need to realize its not coming off and they need to learn to accept that, some have different reactions than others

  • can i use this clip? im making a video on my other channel ill give full credit and send you the link :)

  • Can I please use this clip in a video I am making! I will give you all credit for the clip in the video and send you the link!!!

  • tbh i don't think he is to keen on the lunger :l lOl x little beast :)

  • when he does a couple strides of strot i see potential for dressage very flickky trot nice lil horse xx

  • Thats really cool! but um... does he have a saddle pad??

  • I know the best thing to do when they freak like this is do what you did...keep there feet moving...don't let them stop and ponder...work there feet.

  • HI, how is this horse doing now? i train horses some and sometimes you can do all the groundwork from a baby up desentizing and all the round pen work, teach them on the ground to move hindquarters/forequarters and sidepass and backup from ground and you put saddle on and they are a wild bronc!!! so i understand this.

  • Toll , Das Pferd will ich Reiten , damit Kenne ich Mich aus , mein Hengst den ich Verkaufen musste war auch so !! :)

  • wauw xD now i feel freaking damn lucky my pony loved the sadle.

  • Beautiful horse! and finally a handler who knows what they are doing!

  • You are a freaking idiot. Why don't you just first learn him to stay still with a saddle on? In stead of learning him now he can buck and rear if there's a saddle on his back.

  • @Slofzombietje With some horses they are freaked out and it is natural to let them buck.

  • @Slofzombietje he probably did stand still at some point with it on. But when a horse starts moving with a saddle on it feels very strange to them. I have been breaking and training horses for years with the same method, and the most I have EVER got is a few tiny bucks the first time backed. This pony is just being a bit of a rebel, and he really doesn't want to behave. The handler was calm and did great with him, and you saw him behave himself at the end and start to calm down.

  • @SunshineHorse2247 thank you SunshineHorse. And slofzombietje, Fuck off.

  • @Slofzombietje

your an idiot. its a horse's natural instinct to buck with a saddle on. show me a horse in the flesh that wont buck with a saddle or rider on and then you can talk shit.

  • What a beautiful horse :o

  • COOL!!!!!

  • funny

  • haha soo cutee :)

  • Good Luck To The Person Who Is Backing Him!!!

  • he looks like he would be fun to ride when hes trained! :)

  • @XxSwaniexX thank you :) x

  • @XxSwaniexX thank you :) x

  • My old horse, Dimitri, did that to me once but I was accually on him. I was only like 6 or 7 at the time and he was like 16.1 hh and i went flying like 4 feet away from him it hurt sooo bad

  • whoa!!! awesome and cute horsey ;)

  • thats soo cute

  • i feel sorry for who ever rides him first haha.. he is beautifu!!

  • i can't really tell from the distance the film is taken at but maybe he'd be more comfortable with a saddle pad under the saddle... if he'd allow it lol. or if you were/or he had been halter trained/led previous to this or while he just gets used to the saddle. Hopefully the girth is loose so it's not too much of a distraction? He could also just be a silly, dramatic baby horse :)

  • the lucky person that gets to ride him first........

  • lol!

  • u should have had him running free, that's less stressfull for that horse. Now he is bounded on his back ánd there's someone pulling his head in all directions.

  • @Slofzombietje not everyone has a safe area to turn horses loose with saddles on their back. You shouldnt turn them loose in a pasture because theyre much more likely to hurt themselves. From the looks of it, their arena isnt fenced, and the pasture is pretty big, so turning him loose would be a bad idea. He is doing fine on the lunge line, it lets him get around plenty.

  • HAHA! I don't think he likes the saddle. ;) Babies are so silly and fun.

  • wow! hes sooooo pretty!!!!!!!!

  • What a stunning horse! He is going to be amazing in time.

Is it the saddle he objects to or the bit? He appears to react more when the line becomes taut, noticeable when he falls out in the corner of the school.

    Lovely manège by the way.

  • Was goegeous colour =)

  • lol at the little white dog in the grass just watching.

  • Whew! That saddle sure is scary! Lol. He's adorable! Good luck with him<3

  • feeling a little hotblooded today are we? ;)

  • ahh hes very beautiful but mental :) x

  • Whoa, he's got some spring in his step :) You gotta get his first time being ridden on film to !!

  • @ponytales2001 He sure has! I'll try and film it! :)

  • wow baby that pony can move! what a bucky pony! whp ever had control of that horse did great!

  • A famous horse trainer once said "When you lunge a horse thats what they will look like when you get on..."haha still has a long way to go!but he looked good minus the bucking!(and rearing)

  • wow he looks mental!! feel sorry for whoever's going to be the first to ride him! :)

  • good luck to anyone who has to back him!!!

  • I think he doesnt like the Whip....? He sure is a Beuty!!!!!! :~DDD

  • Bloomin' heck!!

I feel sorry for whoever is going to back him ;)

    x
