Poland has been called "The Christ of Nations" because it has been crucified so many times in history.Invaded by its enemies,and betrayed by their so called friends,over and over.Yet it has risen anew time after time.Thank you cozee0 for posting these videos,and more importantly the Katyn videos.From what I've read they did a good job of portraying the story.The Nazis killed almost 6 million Polish citizens and the Soviets killed or let die well over 1 million more.Very,very,sad time for Poland.

These Polish partisans caused the deaths of tens of thousands of innocent Polish civilians, as the Germans were randomly executing 50 Poles for every German soldier killed by these illegal fighters. So, I don't know why they are now thought of as "heroes." They were terrorists.

@TomDavid88 Polish partisans were violent only in relation to the Germans and the Soviets! So I do not understand who you call terrorists?! This is partly true what you wrote in the first comment but:

1. The whole nation was ready to sacrifice, but it's irrelevant because the German pigs anyway to kill civilians

2. We had to wait until the "allies" come to our aid (USA, GB do nothing)?! We had to do SOMETHING to show that we are still fighting.

@Lololoney Your English is fine enough, but it was the Russians, not the Germans, who were responsible for the mass liquidation of upper class Poles. The Germans were mostly only responsible for deportations. The Poles should have simply not started a war against Germany, by both not giving back Danzig and by killing tens of thousands of Germans in the western part of Poland before the war began.

In June 1945 in Moscow started Trial of the Sixteen of 16 leaders of the Polish Underground State arested by NKVD. Soviets accused Them of "collaboration with Nazi Germany". Veterans of antinazi resistance created "Cursed soldiers" mouvement continued the struggle against the pro-Soviet government of Poland well into the 1950s. The last cursed soldier Józef Franczak was killed in an ambush with pistol in his hand as late as 1963, almost 20 years after the Soviet take-over of Poland.

In fact the Germans over extended themselves and were running low on supplies but then the Soviets rolled in from the East and sealed the deal.

The Poles have provided plenty of man power in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Poland also has a top notch special forces unit, GROM. By the way I'm a former USMC, may I ask what branch you served in? Polish history is also quite impressive because almost every battle that they engaged in, they were outnumbered yet they still kept winning. The Polish-Lithuanian Wing Hussar calvary was also probably the greatest calary unit in the histoty of human warfare. These guys were always greatly outnumbered but kept kicking ass, time and time again. Just goes to show that numbers don't mean shit. It's all about superior training and the warrior spirit.

There are 2600 Polish soldiers in Afghanistan you mother fucker, and the country was defeated in 4 weeks, not 2, France which was considered one of the great powers of that time was defeated in 6, and they were only attacked by Germany. both the americans and the british were very short sighted. the only hero's here were the polish people, what stalin did was wrong, but we still required his men to help the allies clean up. thank you for this powerful document. i feel very humble, such a brave people.
