This is a great lesson! I"ve been looking for a scale/pattern to play over the 4 and 5 chord and man, you've hit the nail on th head! You're absolutly right about being stuck on the minor penatonic scale, you can extend it but, unless you're a master you can only do so much with it. Thanks for taking the time to make this awesome video.
This lesson is incredible! Thanks for taking the time to put this together. Im blown away by the mobility of this scale and the concept of changing keys on the fly. You have a 6 month lesson packed into 8 minutes! Definately a major transition (no punn intended) for a standard pentatonic bules player. Im looking forward to incorporating this!!
VERY NICE! Trust me, Brian is a GREAT teacher! He took my son from the little I could give him to a MONSTER on the guitar! My son got so much from Brian that he has now made guitar his life, as a college jazz guitar major, looking to teach at the university level one day . . . IF rock God doesn't get him first! My son has some of the best teachers in Philly in college, but we can't wait for summer to get back to lessons with Brian! Brian gives more in one lesson than others in a semester!
