  • @Rozyonnie

that's prob because you can't find anyone to marry yo ass. Lol, i however want government to guarantee i am equal in those regards like any other tax paying citizen.

  • Personally I define marriage is purely an emotional bond of sorts, between any two individuals regardless of age, sex, or species provided its a two way street. I'd probably disagree with Ron Paul on what marriage is, but I agree that it's not a dispute for the government to resolve. As long as they don;t interfere with each other's lives, people should be able to agree to disagree and not let the disagreement hold them back.

  • MAN!! THOSE GUYS IN THE PICS FROM 1:24 TO 1:33 WERE SOOO GAY!! GOOD SLIDESHOW!

  • Christians for gay rights! Ron Paul 2012

  • You can't have a marriage without a HUSBAND and a WIFE.

  • Barack Obama has had homosexuality in his past from all evidence given. Ron Paul is only a libertarian, not a conservative.

People can go that way if they choose, its a matter of values, morals. I only go with God given marriage, between a man and a women. People will want to wake up, and realize God doesnt lie.

  • @obamasoupline The problem with "Values" and "Morals" is whose values and morals are we using here? You are imposing your God's or religion's values and moral viewpoints onto people who don't ascribe to it. How is that fair or even right?

  • @Zuul030 Like Ron Paul said, this is not a governmental issue, marriage is a RELIGIOUS ceremony and the church governs it and makes that decision. The governement is trying to control it for their benefit. If you leave it up to the churches then I think you know what the rendering decision will be on that issue.

  • @srnomrio How do you know that? There are plenty of churches out there that are willing to marry two same sex couples.... it's the government that's stopping the ability of them getting married.

  • Fuck them all. God damned political sons of bitches. Go Ron Paul!!! And fuck Sarah, McCain, Obama, Biden and any other politicians who think they need to get involved with something that should be a personal issue. Mother fuckers. Go David Boaz!!! Marriage should NEVER be government!!! PERIOD!!!

  • @ISI4

    wikipedia . org / wiki / Homosexual _ behavior _ in _ animals

    Many animals practice homosexuality.

  • @ISI4 when the male dog has a boner, it ain't mounting

  • Straight or gay.

I do not see one country in the world for FREE HUMAN YET. as long I see People now have Cages only not state for free poeple.

Read: Free to Be Me by Arthur VonStain.

Very good book! People need Brand New Country.

  • what about non-religious people (straight or gay) who want to marry? not to mention all the legal benefits of getting married... i'm for state sanctioned marriage for straights and gays.

  • carl sagan for president

  • The government is invalid.

  • I agree with the Libertarians view...Govt needs to stay out of the personal lives of the people.

  • Is like my 7 year old kid said: Obama is like we have no President at all.

  • That would be a dream come true!

  • even a kid can tell all he does is pander

  • How cute, stupidity runs in the family, you must be proud.

  • You must be proud of your wasted years of school that had teach you nothing but to follow the 'leader'. Because of people like yourself our kids learn nothing in school and in times like today everyone is waiting for foodstamps unable to get our Libery back! The gov take in millions from tax payers money to their own pockets and offer you garbage. The average american is undereducated the highest IQ in the world belongs to Germans and other Europeans. America is sinking in to hell. Be proud!

  • people can do whatever they want , don't believe on Christianity, the only religion is Love, FREEDOM IS YOU MIND AND YOUR HEART forget about religions and politics, be free my dear friends

    we are the resistance

    Namaste

obama and all politics are the same , no exceptions

  • If you listen to what the politicians say, it is not necessarily contrary to the Libertarian view. The problem is that the questions are vague. "Do you support gay marriage?" They will probably say no. However if you asked them if they supported federal intervention to quash gay marriage, probably only Palin might say yes. That would put Obama and Biden in line with the Libertarians on this issue. They won't stop gay marriage in the states, and nor will they try to federalize it.

  • @baigandine

No, it IS contrary to what the libertarians say - libertarians say "why the hell are we even asking this question? why does the government think it's their business to assign, license, and agree to letting people live their lives they way they want to (as long as it's peaceful)?"

Whereas everyone else says "the government will recognize legal agreements between gays. they can't call it marriage"

These are VERY different, if you can't see this, then... i dunno what to say

  • I'm saying the rhetoric may not match the policies. They can be saying "I personally believe marriage is between a man and a woman." But if their policy is not getting involved (and I don't see that Obama has gotten involved), then the outcome is the same as the libertarian preference of non-involvement.

  • Obama continues policies, libertarians want to end these involvement policies and THEN become non-involved. Leave it to freedom, the current system is not freedom. Obama continues marriage statism....this is not change, this is just a way to do whatever the groupthink voters want....to keep his job. Let's be honest, these people are not trying to educate others, they are all trying to get in power and get your tax money... It's like 100 Enrons....

  • @baigandine

Currently the government is able to grant or deny marriages. Why does the government own our right to get married? The libertarians want to take away this governmental power.

Obama et. al. want to keep things the way they are, but just say that "civil unions" between gays will also be licensed.

Why do things need to be licensed?

Again, if you can't see the difference, then i can't help you.

  • thanks for sharing, but i don't understand... marriage for gay people would not be a religious thing, because i'm not aware of any religion that allows homosexuality. marriage for gay people would have to be a legal ceremony, to attain legal rights over/to one another? am i miss a big piece here?

  • By logical extension according to the last speaker, the union of any SIX people fits his definition but makes Ron Paul the bigot according to the two slices that he spoke in. Right?

    Right? :^)

  • there use to be only 1 or 2 gay couples in a town or a city now they own the world that is wrong in my view. The r now just recruiting gays and lesbos. Now our world is in trouble the natural union between man and women is now being threatened. Sodom And Gomorrah is happening now on a grand scale. The beauty of man and women is being takin over by the homosexuals and now has be stopped before its to late. But actually it is too late and now Yaweh will soon have his vengeance. soon

  • Marriage should not be any business of governments people should be free to live in any social arrangement they want as long as no harm or mental duress or brain washing is being perpetrated on any individual or child by anyone.

Thank you for helping us spread Freedom!

  • They are worried about same sex marriage, funny. They should be worried about all our constitutional rights. When they take them all away, it won't just be marriage that they are dictating. If gays want to get married, remember, this is supposed to be a free country, lol. Better get it while the getting is good, lol.

  • Goes to show the great contrast between these candidates who talk tough on terrorism or Al-queda but are so easily beholden by their own nation's religious groups...

If the Mujahedden could vote in U.S. elections they'd be promoting putting us all in shackles. Constit-wha?

  • It has to be so they can monitize the note you both sign on security paper. For those of you how want to know what i am talking about see House Joint resolution 192 Creating our signature to be the Credit of this nation. A currency not of gold and silver as stated in the constitution but of the Full faith and credit of this nation. Banks cannot loan there bank funds nor its depositers funds. It asks you to sign the documents to charge it into a specie of money called a note.

  • Check out the Libertarian party.

  • ron paul said let the church decide... that basically means "no"

no one wants to make gay marrage legal because why would gay people want to have a christian ceremony when christians are the ones attacking them... now what we should really do is eliminate tax cuts for married couples

why not cut everyones taxes equaly?

and ron paul doesnt belive in evolution, not a man fit to be president

  • Let the church decide is a very narrow interpretation of what Ron Paul believes in. A more accurate statement should be the government doesn't have a right to force the church to do anything. Church is a private institution has the right to decide on which unions it recognizes. If you don't like it then you can boycott the church and do other things as long as you do not use government force.

  • We need to just get rid of the word. Come up with a new one that encompasses all sexual preferences.

  • Instead of worrying about marriage why doesn't this freak show try to DO something to save the U.S. from collapsing!

  • Silly gays, Marriage is for kids.

  • I wonder what the divorce rate looks like over the past 100 years or so that government intervention has increased in the "institution" of marriage. I haven't looked at the stats but I'd be willing to bet they are directly proportional.

  • My philosophy in life is. Do whatever what makes you happy as long you don't harm others. I can't see how homosexual marriages can harm other people.

I see it differently though when they decide to have children, maybe this is where we should have a law in place, but that also applies to hetero sexual couples.

  • You can see Ron Paul has a problem with homosexual relationships just from observing his body language during the question but he held his personal belief in check and gave the principled and fair answer.

  • @uche007us

indeed. I'm a huge fan of Ron Paul, but you could tell that he doesn't really like gays - did you see Bruno? I was a bit embarrassed that my favorite candidate used the word "queer", but...

Sure beats the hell out of trampling over their rights and preventing millions of people from being happy.

Ron Paul has upheld his beliefs REPEATEDLY against even his own distaste for what the logical consequences of those beliefs might be.

  • It's refreshing to see people actually making sense (obviously, the Libertarian stance). This country's falling apart, but having personal liberty (and thus personal responsibility) close to one's heart is kinda like strapping on a parachute and jumping off the slippery slope, rather than being kicked to your death by the thing you've been hanging on to for dear life.

Give me liberty before security. All the time. Every time.

  • i agree completely with the message in this video: remove government from the marriage issue altogether!

  • I believe a true marriage is between Your Partner and yourself,,,any legal issues over marriage are for monetary issues ,may it be property dividing at divorce or tax revenues. Thats why so many fail. Get Government out of my Life!

  • Here's what I don't get. What business does any person here have in another person's PRIVATE business. The nerve.

Ron Paul is absolutely right on this. Follow the Constitution. This is a private matter, between two human beings, and perhaps their friends and families.

Why is the state getting involved in the personal, moral affairs of citizens where there is no public interest at stake?

Perhaps because they think it can win them some easy votes? So they don't have to talk about ideas?

  • just dont be gay

  • I've felt like a lone nut promoting this the last 5 to 10 years. Nice to finally hear others promoting it.

  • Awesome, glad to see topics like this covered! Thanks, mike. :-)

  • gay marriage .. my core issue....blah!!

  • Individual Liberty....MY core issue!

  • @mikeshanklin mine too .. thanks mike ..shared

  • Y'know on the section from the debate between the Gaffer and Republican Barbie, every time the camera went to the latter, the approval rating from the men went up. lol

It's just so infuriating how the politicians think that their opinions on social issues are more important than what individuals think, and that they have the right to let the mob dictate what consenting adults do. It's true, this is "separate but equal" bullshit.

  • I think Obama lied there a couple of times,no? Maybe I just misunderstood him, yea that must be it, cause the Messiah wouldn't lie, would he?

  • I'm close to Paul on this. Expect i think its a state issue, not a national issue. So i'm for some government involvement in this

  • Great video. Have a good week.

  • Yes God love you, he wants them to turn from there burned lustful desire they refuse too.

    Read Roman 1:26-28

Verse 28th The bible also said that he gave them over to a Reprobate mind to do those things which are not convenient.

Marriage is for man and woman that's my belief I don't hate anyone that's Gay I won't condo in what they feel its alright to be that way, when God Created the World & made man and woman he made everything perfect.

God made know mistake, Sin change man

    Peace Out!!

  • You can believe that, and so does Dr Paul, but you have to come up with some reason why it should be made illegal, provide evidence as to why it's okay to ban voluntary behaviour just because you don't like them when they're not harming anyone, and why I shouldn't think you're a self-righteous wad for wanting to do so.

  • @AshillaBeige First of all... I did not say I don't like them and I did not say I was self- righteous those are your Words, this is a sick behavior as we know!!!! What ever the Political Politic wants to do with all this sick Corruption man made, without the true wisdom and knowledge of God . Obama, McCain, Palin, Biden VS Ron Paul & Libertarians know what to do,they need there votes. ban voluntary behavior, or legalize we vote= one of the 2 ban illegal or they will not vote for them....

  • @msdivaatta Actually, homosexuality is explained through hormones for the most part. And Christianity is bullshit, and if you'd read the Bible, you'd know that. It's patently false. Secondly, learn to read and write before you leave comments... and learn to form a coherent argument. You are an absolute douche, like most Christians who use their faith to pass judgement. God, you folk are more obsessed with sex than us normal folk. Homosexuality is natural. Repression leads to violence. Simple.

  • @AshillaBeige That's your sick mind justified your right to be that way and its OK so be it!!!

    I'M done with this comment...

  • @msdivaatta

My mom's a dog breeder and there was this one god, named Fendi, who was the gayest little pup we've ever seen. It was hilarious. He kept mounting the male dog that was "mating" with the female. It was like this (from left to right) - Female, Male, Gay-male.

Homosexuality is NOT limited to humans. It is NOT a moral issue. It is NOT in any way wrong. And it should not be hated.

This comment is not intended to anger, just inform you as to the natural-ness of homosexuality.

  • @msdivaatta

Marriage can be whatever the hell it wants to be - if it's between a man and a woman, that's fine. If it's between a cow and a chicken, that's fine.

But the GOVERNMENT HAS NO RIGHT TO BE INVOLVED. why do newly weds have to get a LICENSE from the government to be married? This is nonsense - the government does not own my marriage and is not allowed to grant me the ability to marry the woman I love.

  • government is just a religion 2.0

  • Speaking as a religious person who comes from basically the same persuasion as Ron Paul, every time that the Church has attempted to utilize the State in order to strike down or ban anything that it deems unholy, the attempt has utterly backfired. They tried banning the instruction of evolution in schools, and now we are forbidden to read the bible in school. At some point we have to rely on self-government or else we will fall into tyranny and despotism.

  • @hellsunicorn it comes from the radical change that occurs. Defensively people fight extreme change as consistency is a part of leading a healthy life. They wish to restore stability.

  • The only issue I see with this is in the case of immigration. With current immigration laws, I couldn't bring my fiancée/wife into the US without proving there is a life-long commitment. So if the gov were to get out of the question of who could be married, they'd have to change immigration laws... and I just KNOW how many "libertarians" harp on immigration. So choose: Gov-controlled marriage, or open borders. True freedom would choose open borders.

  • People should have the right to live wherever they want as long as they do not infringe on others!

  • @mikeshanklin

Exactly. That's why it pisses me off when some alleged "libertarians" get bent out of shape about illegal immigration. Immigration should NEVER be illegal. They skip the part in the Declaration of Independence that says, "All men are created equal." It certainly doesn't say, "All US citizens."

As it has been proven as of late, if there are no jobs in the US, they move back home, or on to other countries. I'm thinking of moving to Colombia, and they have no problem with that.

  • Yeah, this is what I've been thinking. Let the church leaders decide who can marry, and they can deal with what God thinks about that later.

By regulating marriage in any way, through bans or licensing, or whatever, the state is making itself a god and determining what is right or wrong for people--which of course is not its place.

  • I agree totally. I never really knew how to express my opinion but Ron Paul said it best. This isn't a government issue. Gay couples can't impose their views on me or make me agree with their choice but it's their choice, not the governments.

  • I've never understood why anyone supports marriage licensing in general. To accept such a requirement is then to place it in the realm of something that requires "permission(s)" which then remove it as a right and place it as a privilege. Marriage is a right of contract between to individuals, not privilege of a segment of society and the state.

  • @jgrdonquixote agreed if you love another person why do you need someone else's consent or approval to spend your life with them? I will never get married. I don't want the Government knowing about my private life. Except my job where there is no choice.

  • But government gives you benefits for a marriage. So if you want those benefits, you have to play by the state's rules. If you don't care about those benefits, then you can still live with someone as your spouse.

  • Government should not give benefits for married couples

  • I think there is an argument to be made for benefits for married couples(be they straight or gay) It helps promote better social cohesion, all functional family does. If the government can help to promote healthy families then they should. Public good and all that...

  • So you're willing to use coercion and force on others for marriage "cohesion"?!?

I reject your taxation, violence and theft.

  • @LibertyLounge coercion, force, violence, and theft? Really? Because I think families are good things? Wow.

  • @justnich

Families are great things, what does that have to do with the fact that we want to banish statism?

  • @mikeshanklin

Replacement of the population by procreation is in the governments interest, therefore it should promote it through the benefit and status system we call Civil Marriage. The desire on either side of the political system for the issue to be moralized is irrelevant.

  • @mikeshanklin When you say "benefit", are you talking about money from the government (respectively tax allowances), or do you think (do U.S. libertarians think) marriage should have no legal consequences whatsoever?

E.g., what about legal succession? What about the right not to testify against one's spouse? What about recusal?

(Sorry in case I didn't get the legal terms right, I'm not a native English speaker)

  • @baigandine Goverment doesn't "give" us shit moron. WE THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE!!! You fucking sheepish twat!!!

  • @CosmoCarter So you don't want your taxes back then? They give you a tax break.

  • @baigandine They GIVE you? You mean, they steal from you and then return some? Yes, bless their hearts...

  • GOD HATES RON PAUL

(if you don't get the humor then you deserve to have your life shortened by anger)

  • Love the sarcasm, it's usually hard to pick up through text, but this is obvious and awesome! Peace!

  • lol

  • Its only right in a free society that people be free to marry who ever they wish regardless of sex.

  • @im1greatman

I agree, let the people and their religions dictate whatever they want. Don't tax and hate spend on my name! I have better things to do with my money than support these anti-freedom politicians.

  • @mikeshanklin You see the situation from the proper angle. The government always appeals to emotion to take more freedom and control from us doing more and taking their wages for it in the process (taxes). Making everybody less free. Why would you pay someone for things when you don't have to? Don't pay the government (who does a horrendous job in the first place) to do that which you can do with your own 2 hands.

  • @im1greatman what is a "legal" marriage other than a government sanction of a personal relationship? there is no reason why gay couples shouldnt wed themselves in front of whatever organization they want to establish for this purpose. the question is should they be receiving any gov. benefits on account of their marriage. In a free society, gov stays out of the marriage issue altogether. heterp, homo, poligamic.. all of them.

  • @dinkolino2 I agree with you completely good sir.

  • but people should not demand that government or any other segment of society recognize their marriage. it's a personal and/or religious issue. i don't personally agree with gay marriage but they should be allowed to do what they want in the context of their own beliefs or religion.

  • @im1greatman What free society are you talking about...hopefully not America. It is the furthest thing away from being free. You want a place that has true freedom for people, live in Singapore.

  • nice vid. Many falsely think Ron Paul is like the other pols. I like his replies.

  • @trubo, he is trained well like the Psycho FDR......fact, paul is a mason. enough said.

  • of course government should be out of marriage! that is, if your definition of marriage is between a man and woman, as defined in the bible. however, if gays want to "marry," let them be "married" in a civil ceremony. simple.

  • The Government is NOT on your side.

  • What sanctity in marriage? What are they talking about? At least 50% of marriages are ending in divorce. Most experience infidelity. What a joke. Keep up the good work! Please do a video on the government subsidies on corn industry for the beef and poultry trusts. Yuck!
