I own both an Onda media player and an ITouch media player. I can tell you right now, that the ITouch is larger, thinner, faster, more touch-sensitive, and more entertaining than the Onda.
The reason the Ipod Touch is doing so well is because of the massive library of apps and the decent selection of games. That's the only reason the Ipod Touch has done so well, once you get rid of "Shotty" and "Brothers in Arms" all you have is a MP3/MP4 player. Keep that in mind when looking for a clone.

Onda are not an Ipod clone company or a company that deal with makining Ipod clones. They are a great company that create MP4 players based on what the community are used to, most people understand this interface, this is why Onda adopts it in 2-3 of their models. If you see some of Ondas more mature model such as the 787 and the 545. They have little resemblance to an ipod and work off their own.

That's true, in fact most of these clones don't require you to use iTunes, which I think is far better than the iPod. One of the things I like about the iPod nano clones is that some of them don't even use a touch sensative click wheel, which is good as I hate touch sensative controls.

I would beg to differ. I've owned mine for six months. For what I want it for, its not that bad. All I needed was to listen to music and play the occasional video. No, no fancy animation, fades, etc. but that playfx is NICE!
And the instructions come in a thick manual, and also on the player itself.
Maybe the iPod touch is way better with fancy animations, wifi, etc. But you pay 200 dollars, you get 200 dollars of player, with 50$ you get a 50$ player. Thats my take on it.

For the diffrence in size...honestly I got the 858 with the 2.8 screen and I just love it. I do like the new place for the volume. I have no complaints about my little player.
the 878. it's expensiver and smaller. but nicer to see, better, the screen is big enough to watch movies on it, and when it's smaller is easier to take it with you.
The iPod Touch has full internet, a better touch screen, more memory, bigger screen, thinner, lighter, and more apps. The Onda is a whole lot cheaper though. I have played around with the Onda and it feels a lot cheaper than the iPod Touch. I am very happy with Apple's iPod.

Oh yeah, I totally agree...if you just want something for music and a little video, I wouldn't get the iPod. If you don't want things like Internet or whatever then go with something else. But if you are looking for something to use as more than a music player go for iPod. I just sent this from my iPod.

For the diffrence in size...honestly I got the 858 with the 2.8 screen and I just love it. I do like the new place for the volume. I have no complaints about my little player.

the 878. it's expensiver and smaller. but nicer to see, better, the screen is big enough to watch movies on it, and when it's smaller is easier to take it with you.

The iPod Touch has full internet, a better touch screen, more memory, bigger screen, thinner, lighter, and more apps. The Onda is a whole lot cheaper though. I have played around with the Onda and it feels a lot cheaper than the iPod Touch. I am very happy with Apple's iPod.

i cant find support site , the manual is in frekin chinese , it only plays avi vids which i tried to load on and didn't work anyways , and u have to push hard as hell on the screen , and theres sum disk thats got windows 98 with it? wtf the video converter that came with it wont work because i dont have windows xp/vista media or something and the upgrade program is in full chinese

Well I thought the iPod Touch was a little overpriced till I actually got one. I am not the least bit sorry for getting the iPod Touch. No one who has used it has been anything but amazed. Yes its expensive but there is a reason Apple is dominating the portable music player market. They are just better.
