@mike478911 OMG!!! If you're not able to reach level 6 easy, you don't know what is grinding then. Seems you never player Lineage 2... I don't know your codes and I got to level 6 before starting to record my run. Your codes kill the fun for those games...
@kettlebellconvert It's supposed to mean a fork in the path. This game has a few official artwork paths, this town was the opposite path to the mansion, but it was a sidescroller, limiting how they could get you from one place to the next. Some paths make no sense, but this game had limits. Like how the second mansion looks like it's under a fake lake with stairs, but they really meant that you drained the lake to get there.
@DarkFilmDirector Thank you very much! The key is just to stay calm. Panic is an enemy when playing games. I had enough room to avoid the projectiles successfully too. :)
i thought, people can beat it whithout a guide, but i guess not... there are stuff in the game that just no won can figure out! long live James Rolfe!
Yes, we can beat it without guide. There are enough clues to guide people to the right way. If you doubt it, please ask me to tell you more about it. ;)
Thank you very much! Well, yeah, I did all the grinding before starting the game, so there was no time loss with it, and I went straight to the next item every time. :)
Thank you very much!!! I guess I got a bit lucky, because I could have been hit in those sequences. Everything worked great as I just stayed calm and relaxed. Better wait for obstacles to come to me then quickly decide what move to do! :)
Thank you very much! Sure, my play was not perfect, but, yes, I was quick and wanted to show the location of all important items. That's the way I play, quick, 100% items, but no speed run! XD
I did it myself, no worries. No bot or cheat. The only thing I did was to level my character up to level 6, get days to 99 and 256 hearts to begin my journey, so the viewers would see a straight run, no tiem loss, good play but real play. Looks perfect, but believe me, it's not. And, this game is very easy. :)
@Chargersarethebest86 Thank you very much! I did the best I could to cut the grinding and show a one-way run, in which I show everything a player needs to get a 100% full equipped run. ;)
No, it always been in my playlist I think. Anyway, when I am looking for one of my own vids, I search for: HalDanGhor + name of the game and part number something. I suggest you try: haldanghor + castlevania +1. ;)
The only explanation I can find to your problem is that you use another playlist for my own vids than the playlist I made myself, because I know I did not do any mistake with it. and, i just verified it. ;)
For the First Mansion, when selected, it allows Simon to see the Flying Platform to go up and down. Also, we need this White Crystal to exchange it for a Blue one, that will be used to open pathes at Lakes. Then, we'll need to exchange the Blue one for a Red one, which will allow Simon to get passed the "Deborah" Cliff. Just remember that the Blue Crystal is stronger than the White one, and the Red one is the very best! ;)
yeah this is one of my favorite games of all time. love the music. and being in the town during the day everyone is out and friendly. then the night comes and those crazy looking green ghosts come out. scared the hell out of me as a kid lol.
I hated this game so much. 1 and 3 were fantastic. 2 was a pile of vomit. Totally directionless. No rhyme or reason as to why you had to use this or that item in a particular location. Just guesswork that made you want to pull your eyes out.
CV2 is one of my favorite games, and I play through it every so often. But man, I can't remember the last time I actually got all the items. The dagger, the silk bag, the diamond, garlic...
Thank you very much! Yes, when I see such comments, I look at my video again to see what makes people answer that kind of things! It really makes me proud! ^^
Those friggin floating eyes are the most annoying game enemy ever. Right up there with drones in Duke Nukem 3D, the cliff racers in Morrowind, and the facehuggers in the Alien vs. Predator games.
Great game. Remember countless nights playing this one on weekends with my friends and us finding passageways and such. Man do I miss the '80s. Ahh well. Thanks for posting Hal, all your vids, keep them comming!!!
Thanks for this. OMIGOD> That music, brings back so many golden memories. Old friends long gone still remain because of the memories associated with that music. Thanks so much for letting me re-realize that. :)
VERY GOOD feeling. What an amazing game, truly. Not a straightforward game at all, but challenging gameplay and good play controls make it competent. I especially love the soundtrack for this particular game.
IMO, some of the best tunes for the NES can be found here. Especially the 'town theme'.
Oh, a little more about the Chain Whip...each successive whip does twice as much damage as the last. So you have the choice of either taking on the 2-Thorn Whip hits at night foes here with a Leather Whip (no biggie with the dagger), or going a *long* way and fighting a LOT of tough foes with a Thorn Whip. The former is doable, the latter...not doable. Well, not *recommended*, anyway.
The Flame serves largely the same role as the firebomb in the first game. A little less effective (higher arc, shorter effect), but a highly useful weapon nonetheless, as HalDanGhor will demonstrate shortly.
Oh, and kudos for getting through all those spiders without taking a hit. I *hated* those bastards. So unpredictable, so hard to hit without getting a hit in return. I actually had to burn off a laurel here sometimes.
Don't worry, everyone, this is the same video; he just had to re-up it because it wasn't loading anymore for some reason.
The main advantage of the dagger is that it allows you to skip the Thorn Whip (which is a great idea if you want to save time). It does the same damage, has longer range, and is free to use. It becomes obsolete as soon as you get the chain whip (which is why I never got both on the same visit).
@mike478911 OMG!!! If you're not able to reach level 6 easy, you don't know what is grinding then. Seems you never player Lineage 2... I don't know your codes and I got to level 6 before starting to record my run. Your codes kill the fun for those games...
