Maybe it's a test signal tower being used by airports to establish additional emergancy communication points for the public of local pilots. Non-central towers are usally thin and hard to notice, however the light is supposed to be easy to notice when close enough.

Or maybe it's a UFO, who knows man, I'm just making all of this up.

people associate the term UFO to ALSO mean an object also known as a flying saucer.

But flying saucer takes longer to say and type, so people go with the shorter thing which conveys the same meaning.

By convey I DONT MEAN actually means that, however convey is merely to say that you know the other person will know what you're talking about.

Pick another location nearby, measure the angle you can see the light at, and triangulate it. Then go to the spot and see what's there, or if that's scary, Google Earth it. :D

what's funny is that the light specifically is blue, which is actually the longest specific wavelengh, and thus the strongest to see at a distance. So this thing could be really far away.

@hellzbomber Derp? Uhh no. Red has the longest wavelength (620–750 nm) which is why red bulbs are used for airplanes and the like. Blue is the second shortest wavelength (450–475 nm) of our visible spectrum followed by violet (380–450 nm). Blue does have the second highest frequency in our visible spectrum though.
