Organic foods are genetically modified. Humans have been genetically modifying foods since the dawn of agriculture 10,000 years ago. If you do not think this, you do not understand how genetics works. There is no added danger because a gene has been added to a vegetable. Though getting cancer from what you consume is likely, if you live long enough, you will develop some form of cancer. It is the way our cells work.

Any hybrid (GMO or not) will not produce seed quality grain, farmers must purchase new seed every year regardless. It's been that way since hybrids became popular in the 1930s.

I wish I had the knowlege to test for GMO food. I would kill anything that was geneticly modified. it's weird how they compared selective breeding to GMO's. Selective breeding is not unnatural but putting fish dna into tomatoes or poison into corn & soybeans dna is no where near the same playing field.

BTW: Cheerios (as of a couple of months ago) now contains "corn" in the ingredients! This is an "oat" cereal, people! Practically every packaged food item now contains GMO's. I'm stocking up on canned goods that don't yet have HFCS or some other poison in them - I hope! It's difficult to get through to people. I tried to explain to a woman today that the 'gum' she was going to buy was poison; 4 alcohol sugars and 3 artificial sweeteners! She said: "but I like the taste of this one better"!!!

It's difficult to find seeds that aren't GM, because of the contamination. I bought tomato plants from a local plant store and discovered that the tomatoes were GM (there IS a difference). I see more and more products in the grocery store with GMO's; in fact, it's now difficult to find anything that hasn't been poisoned. Choice of food was one of the only freedoms left to us and now it's virtually gone! 100% of Canadian canola is now GM! Monsanto can suck my ass and die!

SO odd how food allergies are becoming more rampant. What Im afraid of is developing an allergy to GMO peanuts for example, then when i eat regular peanuts, i still have an allergy i didnt have before.
