I watched GH during the late 70s and early 80s. I always liked the irony of the character of Lamont Corbin going in for neurosurgery and when he recovered, another actor was playing him. It implied that maybe Lamont had undergone a head transplant!

This is an excellent video chronicling 45 years, it's really amazing, touches on so many great golden moments and stories. This is pure nostalgia for GH fans, the maker has chronicled what touched them about GH amazingly and this is a GH experience, not a favorite couples one so JaSam fans should go make their own video or shut up.

I don't usually comment on videos.. however I LOVE this video.. it's amazing and I LOVE all the couples in it esp. Brenda/Sonny and Jason/Liz... they are epic and beautiful and I absolutely Loved the way you portrayed each and every couple that mattered in GH after so many years =)
Anna was pointing her gun at Olivia St. John/Jermone because she found out Olivia was trying to kill her husband Duke-which ulimately caused her to miscarry her baby that she was having with Duke.
If i was the writer of Gh I wouldnt give a Jasam A baby so soon I mean Jason really hasnt greived through Jake's death properly I think that would be a better storyline seeing how he would Process that

Not only are JaSam a very important couple that's missing (those scenes when she lost her baby are epic), but Robert and Holly, to me, had far more chemistry than Anna and Robert could even imagine. Plus, the actors dated each other in real life. You really must add more Tristan Rogers and Emma Samms! Heather and Noah Drake are also important characters missing here.
SAM is an independent woman in her own right, not a Brenda clone.
@Lisawrit I didn't have any R&H clips (I think they are great) so I couldn't include them. This is a fan video, which by definition means I as a fan made a video to GH based on my thoughts, feelings and experiences. It wasn't meant to be subjective--because that's impossible, everyone disagrees as to who is important. I am a person (who actually made this FAN video) that didn't include Sam because the character doesn't mesh with my experience/love for GH. Sorry you hold a different opinion.

@lashaye24 - I do agree.. it would have been nice to see Keesha/Jason scenes. Now at least the END of that relationship was very important in my opinion because Jason switches from quartermaine to morgan at that point and practically drops Keesha after becoming a morgan. That idiot......

S&B forever......♥♥♥ The very LAST supercouple GH EVER had and I don't care what anybody says about it. Out of ALL Sonny's tramps... we all know Brenda was his true and ONLY love and this video got it right. Not ONE of his tramps are in this video with him except I think I saw Alexis but they were arguing at 3:53.
Now THAT'S a show I would watch! Dangit I can feel tears coming to my eyes. <3 Such a beautiful job representing a once beautiful show, good times and bad. i been a GH fan since middle school and im now 23 and seeing everyone comment on how GH use to have other story lines other then the mob makes me wish i could have seen it too cus sony and the mod is good but i do want to see more of others
I stopped watching it after nearly 29 years (august 1981- april 3rd 2010) . It was too much mob stuff, too much Sonny and Jason. All the old faves were practically all gone. The Quartermaine family had almost died out , they killed off practically all of them. it was time to move on. The best era of GH? the 80's!! Anna Devane with that fake scar LOL, the Brownstone killer, the Cassadine weather machine, a whole lotta Quartermaines and their nutty antics, Heather Webber the bitch!
Great clips of a young Robin... would've been nice to see her all growed up and married with Hubby Patrick and Baby Emma. Nice Video. Makes me nostalgic for GH of yesteryears. : (
What a great video with a great nod to epic characters and classic storylines! Oh, the super couples of yesterday... Luke and Laura, Robert and Anna, Felicia and Frisco!! i have been a gh fan for many many years i love the show. my grandmother got me started watching when i spend a summer with her when i was just 11yrs old. and i remember my mom watching way back when luke and laura were the big thing, i guess u could say its been a big part of my life for a long time.. i love the show and love all the drama and crazyness. i cant say i have one fav cuz i love em all. i did stop watching for quite a few years but i always seem to find my way back. love the show!!!
The GH today seems to revolve souly around Sonny. I'm a nube when it comes to this show (I'm only 17!) so I wish I could have seen it back when there seemed to be other characters and story plots on the show xP

Excellent vid. My mom started watching GH when she was pregnant with me, and as the name implies, I was born in 1964, when i started watching myself in 1976, I was fortunate to have someone there to tell me about GH history, the old stuff. Steve and Audrey first and second weddinig, Lee and Gail, Lee and whatever Scotty's mom's name was, it escapes me at the moment. How both Scotty and Laura were adopted by their fathers (Lee and Rick). Jessie Brewer and Lee almost marrying, I could go on and on
Luke and Laura will always be the best. All this Tracy crap still doesn't float with me. They are funny and have good chemistry, but no luke and laura, never.
I remember my grandmother watched this religiously. In the very early sixties, it was in black and white, and can you believe it was only 15 minutes, and it wasn't taped. I remember one of the couple were Steve and Audrey. Audrey had a older sister but I don't remember her name. Then there was Peter (I think) who was alcoholic and who had a son named Scotty.
I am truly, TRULY moved right now!!!!! There is so much garbage on YouTube. But this, my friend, is true beauty!!!! You did an excellent job.....the song and the editing are great and it's so good to see some of those old clips. You're the kind of user that YouTube was truly made for. I do miss Frisco and Felicia. I remember that scene with Dominique and Scotty. Oh and let's not forget Robin and Stone. They were probably my favorite couple aside from Sonny and Brenda. I love those memories. However, I can't knock GH now, because I love the whole mob thing and Dante is HOT!!!
Great tribute video. However, I must admit that I am a JaSam fan. I hate Jason with Elizabeth. I do agree with the Sonny and Brenda scenes, though. To me, although he has been attached to Carly for so long, there is only one woman for Sonny and that is Brenda. I love Carly and Jax together, though. I wished that they would get Mac and Alexis to hook up. I think that would be a great match as well. Anyways, nice video. I do miss

This was wonderful fun filled and teary memories. I have been watching GH for many years, and I remember every one of these clips. A wonderful post, it made me cry all over again. Stones death is what I cried the most over, that was a sad, sad time for GH and Robin. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.

But maybe ur right but wat is the point Liason actually have known each other for over 10 years(10 at this time) while JaSam have only known each other for 6(5at this time) maybe she should have shown JnR instead whom known each other 13 years and loved each other longer

Great video however i think when you make a video like this you have to be open minded and understand that not all are Liason fans, the thing is in reality this is a GH tribuite video and Jasam have been together along time as a couple on the show where as Liason really werent at all i am not saying if i am a Jasam fan or a Liason fan it doesnt matter i am a GH fan and omitting Jasam was wrong
@kylas124 There are many things I omitted because I didn't have the clips (a lot of the 70s), I didn't have time to include it, and because I as a viewer didn't view it as important GH history. Please recognize that this is a FAN video which by definition means I'm going to include everything that I like and everything I think was important to GH history. @BMStorey Unfortunately for some...no. I see Sam as one of Guza's tried reincarnations of Brenda (a Brendabot)....hence when she first came on the show she was immediately thrown inbetween Sonny/Jax. Mostly I've never seen her as having her own identity. I don't connect with the character, and I don't think she's made an impact on the show. But that's just my completely subjective opinion, I'm quite certain that many others feel differently. But thank you, I'm glad you loved the video!

Liason have ALSO known each other longer and loved longer. I am a JaSam fan like every other fan but Liason have more history than JaSam will ever have and they are a more fan favorite just like JnR. @kylas124 I'm going to state a fact that even Jasam fans can't deny. Liason has been a huge part of GH history for almost 11 years. I love this video. IMO the best of GH was covered.

I've been watching General Hospital my entire life (my mom was a fan and so I've been watching since the day I was born). This video "brought a tear to my eye"...several in fact. This was a beautiful collection of scenes from a show that sadly is not as good as it used to be. LOVED the Robin/Stone stuff...and all the stuff with Emily. Absolutely beautiful!! Thank you!!!
It was great! I have been a fan since 1997. I have to say I loved seeing who was included and who wasn't. Its nice to see other people's opinions on what and who is included. Loved that you only had the original Emily!
All I can say is wonderful, wonderful simply wonderful. i have been watching GH since January 1978 when Laura killed David Hamilton. And 32 years later I still can't get enough. I was 11 then and am now 43. GH forever!!!

This sure brought back memories. I did the costume design from 1984 to 1989 & then 1992 to 1999. Great Fun! Nurses Balls and all. It brought me 5 Emmy's :-)
This is a truly beautiful tribute. It showcased everything the show once was. The very reason people would tune in everyday without fail.
I started watching in 1976 and remember every one of those clips with the exception of the b&w ones. The writing and stories of years gone by are what made GH great at one time.
Unfortunely, killing off every long standing PC family, rewriting of history and playing favorites is where I drew the line. After 32 yrs, I tuned out. Thanks for the memories.
They don't write good stories like Robin and Stone anymore. I really believe that was last true good story line on this show. Everything else hardly stands out except Liz and Lucky.
i agree i dont know much about the robin and stone storylines because i stared watchin n late'99. but i think from '99 to 05 they always had great storylines. i dont know y they characters like spinelli he da star of da show if he is GH is bad shape!!!!
This is great! They should've shown something like this for their 45th anniversary instead of the 45 embarrassment of montage. Only critique is too much Liason, not enough JnR/LnL2 :p But great job!

When GH had their 30Th and 35Th and 40Th anniversary they spent an hour with a tribute show. However with the 45Th they spent less then 6 minutes WTF

I stopped watching it after nearly 29 years (august 1981- april 3rd 2010) . It was too much mob stuff, too much Sonny and Jason. All the old faves were practically all gone. The Quartermaine family had almost died out , they killed off practically all of them. it was time to move on. The best era of GH? the 80's!! Anna Devane with that fake scar LOL, the Brownstone killer, the Cassadine weather machine, a whole lotta Quartermaines and their nutty antics, Heather Webber the bitch!

What a great video with a great nod to epic characters and classic storylines! Oh, the super couples of yesterday... Luke and Laura, Robert and Anna, Felicia and Frisco!! Love the clips that match the words "solid ground", "danger" "tears to my eyes", beautifully selected. And Jason's gun going off to the beats of the music... classic!
It seems that you're a liason fan... which may explain the absence of Sam and Courtney. Also not sure why Holly didn't make it as well as current Carly.

i have been a gh fan for many many years i love the show. my grandmother got me started watching when i spend a summer with her when i was just 11yrs old. and i remember my mom watching way back when luke and laura were the big thing, i guess u could say its been a big part of my life for a long time.. i love the show and love all the drama and crazyness. i cant say i have one fav cuz i love em all. i did stop watching for quite a few years but i always seem to find my way back. love the show!!!

Excellent vid. My mom started watching GH when she was pregnant with me, and as the name implies, I was born in 1964, when i started watching myself in 1976, I was fortunate to have someone there to tell me about GH history, the old stuff. Steve and Audrey first and second weddinig, Lee and Gail, Lee and whatever Scotty's mom's name was, it escapes me at the moment. How both Scotty and Laura were adopted by their fathers (Lee and Rick). Jessie Brewer and Lee almost marrying, I could go on and on

I remember my grandmother watched this religiously. In the very early sixties, it was in black and white, and can you believe it was only 15 minutes, and it wasn't taped. I remember one of the couple were Steve and Audrey. Audrey had a older sister but I don't remember her name. Then there was Peter (I think) who was alcoholic and who had a son named Scotty.

I do miss Frisco and Felicia. I remember that scene with Dominique and Scotty. Oh and let's not forget Robin and Stone. They were probably my favorite couple aside from Sonny and Brenda. I love those memories. However, I can't knock GH now, because I love the whole mob thing and Dante is HOT!!!

Great tribute video. However, I must admit that I am a JaSam fan. I hate Jason with Elizabeth. I do agree with the Sonny and Brenda scenes, though. To me, although he has been attached to Carly for so long, there is only one woman for Sonny and that is Brenda. I love Carly and Jax together, though. I wished that they would get Mac and Alexis to hook up. I think that would be a great match as well. Anyways, nice video. I do miss

Great video however i think when you make a video like this you have to be open minded and understand that not all are Liason fans, the thing is in reality this is a GH tribuite video and Jasam have been together along time as a couple on the show where as Liason really werent at all i am not saying if i am a Jasam fan or a Liason fan it doesnt matter i am a GH fan and omitting Jasam was wrong

@kylas124 There are many things I omitted because I didn't have the clips (a lot of the 70s), I didn't have time to include it, and because I as a viewer didn't view it as important GH history. Please recognize that this is a FAN video which by definition means I'm going to include everything that I like and everything I think was important to GH history. @BMStorey Unfortunately for some...no. I see Sam as one of Guza's tried reincarnations of Brenda (a Brendabot)....hence when she first came on the show she was immediately thrown inbetween Sonny/Jax. Mostly I've never seen her as having her own identity. I don't connect with the character, and I don't think she's made an impact on the show. But that's just my completely subjective opinion, I'm quite certain that many others feel differently. But thank you, I'm glad you loved the video!

Those Liason videos ARE great history to the show, especially from the 90's, whether you want them to be or not. Will this Liason vs Jasam ever end. If someone wants a Jasam video, there are many on YouTube.

I've been watching General Hospital my entire life (my mom was a fan and so I've been watching since the day I was born). This video "brought a tear to my eye"...several in fact. This was a beautiful collection of scenes from a show that sadly is not as good as it used to be. LOVED the Robin/Stone stuff...and all the stuff with Emily. Absolutely beautiful!! Thank you!!!

This is a truly beautiful tribute. It showcased everything the show once was. The very reason people would tune in everyday without fail.
I started watching in 1976 and remember every one of those clips with the exception of the b&w ones. The writing and stories of years gone by are what made GH great at one time.
Unfortunely, killing off every long standing PC family, rewriting of history and playing favorites is where I drew the line. After 32 yrs, I tuned out. Thanks for the memories.
