to make the structure of a building mimic the shape of a character is the stupidest thing ever. It's like saying I'm an amateur architect, I don't take architecture seriously and I have no better idea of expressing "People" than to make the building a shape of its character.

@lbhlbhlbh BIG initially designed this to be place in Sweden. It was then seen by a Chinese client who thought it was amazing for what it symbolised in his culture. So, they effectively designed one building for one culture, that happened to be perfect for another.

@Bluejayhunt that makes sense. still i'm not a fan of the form. it somewhat looks like it's not finished and need some polish. it is a smart design and all but it is hard to take it seriously. Comparing it to the CCTV building by Rem Koolhaas, the form is just too ...predictable and straight forward.

Its no a Chinese creation its a firm out of Copenhagen called BIG...i have seen their speaker at my Unv. he is a great presenter but their work is great...it does sound like a Coldplay sample.
