If I were to move to Saudi Arabia, for instance, and have a child that child would be Saudi Arabian but not Arabs because that is also an ethnic term. Standing in a garage doesn't make you a car.

As someone who is english born and bred of pakistani descent i have to take issues with these people. england is a christian country although now lapsed but this is its history. it is not a muslim country and the majority of its inhabitants do not want islam as a dominant religion. yes muslims are being shafted and oppressed so go and pray peacefully in the privacy of a mosque but dont come out on the streets wearing these ridiculous outfits. it does u no favours and antagonises the whites....

@Khan12078 I am no expert on this matter but pls bear in mind - they lived in the desert and it was 1400 years ago. We live in England which is a secular, non religious country and for someone to wear something covering their whole face with only their eyes showing will give rise to funny looks. I see the arabs doing this in london and can tolerate it somewhat as this is their culture but for someone born and bred in the uk who should be a bit more open then it is a bit more difficult to stomach

@Khan12078 also u mention that the prophet's wives wore a garment just covering their eyes - again to reiterate this was probably more of a tribal custom than to do with religion. as i understand in the religion it states to dress modestly. lastly dont forget that islam is a semite religion brought to what is now india and pakistan by the arabs who had different customs. what is now pakistan was mainly buddhist pre islam so u be very careful and dont forget your history and background!.

@Jay1898 actually you've just made assumptions and claims there is no evidence directed towards the Prophets wives wearing it in the basis of it being more of a "tradition" then a religious practice, as i said before there are many interpretation of how to be dressed modestly by different individuals.
