  • u HAVE TO make about 1.5meter barrel!!1

  • awesome design man, i've been designing potato guns for years and always wanted a put a fan in the chamber. very cool gun man.

  • what type of valves do you need in order to make one of these propane powered? Links would be nice, but names are just as good.

  • @lilwyteboi206 I just used ball valves ordered from US Plastics, and some plumbing parts purchased from Lowes. The key is to make a propane meter - do a search for this on YouTube - there are some good tutorials. Also, check out SpudFiles forums - tons of great info and tutorials there along with some cannons that make this one look like baby stuff.

  • @karlwinkler66 Where can you get trigger valve like you had connected to the propane

  • @8tonsemi That's part of a bike tire inflator from Genuine Innovations, where I got the "Big Air" propane cylinders, the exact part is Ultraflate Plus.

  • @karlwinkler66 Thank you that helps a lot.

  • wow.... I don't really like potato guns that use explosive gases as fuel because you can't usually control the amount of force.... but thats a very nice design- especially the way you regulate the propane by its psi

  • i have a similar gun but i want to add propane injection into my gun, what psi should i use? i have no idea where to start, the one i want to buy come with 5 feet of hose and meter and on and off thing and two ball valves on the pipe, any idea what psi i i should use for the gas? im using 4 inch pipe about 12 inch and 2 foot chamber on my guns

  • @jessesefcik There are some tutorials on YouTube specifically for setting up a propane meter - take a look at some of those. I found that math got me about 80% there, then trial and error got me the rest of the way. The PSI of the propane meter pipe depends on the volume of propane needed for your chamber (about 4% propane, 96% air), and the volume of your pipe.

  • hold down number 2 on your keyboard and enjoy making beats :D

  • Future weapons :D

  • close the exhaust and press the sparker!!

  • That's ligit

  • where did you get that small propane tanke and the valves/gage?

  • @MrandMrsStark It's down there in the comments below.. but the small Propane tanks are from Genuine Innovations - they are for inflating mountain bike tires. Same goes for the regulator (trigger valve). The PSI meter I got at Lowes. Most of the pipe fittings I got at US Plastics.

  • how does the fan not blow up when the gas is ignited? i mean its obviously in the same chamber as the sparker, i guess i dont see how the tiny little plastic fan isnt a gonner alongside the potato after the gas is ignited

  • @travismiller90 lol, i thought the same thing, but i made my own propane powered spud gun with a fan in the combustion chamber and what i found is this, since the end of the chamber is sealed the pressure from the explosion is forced through the barrel, basically the pressure takes the path of least resistance. As long as the pressure required to push the projectile out the barrel is less than the pressure required to blow the back end of the gun off, the fan will be fine.

  • Some of the balls where not lucky :(

  • eh bud do u realy need a fan

  • @thefattim426 Yes, a fan is important because it ensures a proper fuel/air mix. Also, it clears the chamber of C02 and brings in fresh air between shots.

  • @karlwinkler66 okay but what hapends if i dont put one just pressure it pretty good

  • nice dude!!

  • please make me one i will pay you please!!! diazvinny@yahoo.com

  • This mother fucker has like 500 bucks invested in the gun....and i'm diggin it haha

  • now thats one beasty cannon, nice job

  • what do you think that is stronger your potato cannon with a 4 inch combustion chamber and a 2 inch barrel

    or

    this potato cannon

if they ran on the same fuel

  • @toughguitar1 Definitely the 2" cannon would be more powerful. In fact, even without metered propane, that cannon is quite powerful.

  • how big is the combustion chamber is it a 4" pvc or what

  • @toughguitar1 the chamber is 3" PVC, about 4.5" long.

  • @karlwinkler66 ok thanks

  • Where did you get all of your equipments? please list all the parts that you used and maybe a tutorial on how to make one? yours seems to catch my attention haha

  • @aeTynoT562 I bought some of the supplies at Lowes, and ordered some at US Plastics. Most of the details are in the video - I guess I thought this WAS a tutorial, but maybe it's missing some details. If I have time I'll do something with more detail. Glad you like the gun!

  • @karlwinkler66 please make another tutorial with more detail maybe step-by-step guide? how you put it all together and oh the ignition how'd you wire it in the pvc?

  • wow, i have to say! great gun! a lot of great ideas put into a single design! brilliant

  • gr8 vid thumbs up

  • TOP JOOOB.

    GREAT GUN

  • make a tutorial on it

  • ur an iconic figure

  • make a bigger combustion chamber

  • Why? This launcher has a specific design. Check my 2" cannon with a 4"x9" chamber - much larger but a "spray & pray" design.

  • dont it shred the blades off the fan?

  • Not at all. The fan is at the back of the chamber, right in front of the large ball valve. The pressure may be momentarily high but the velocity of the air is not.

  • why do you need the fan?

  • The chamber fan is used to mix the fuel with the air in the chamber for the best combustion. Then, after the shot, the fan brings in fresh air when the large rear valve is open.

  • THANKS

  • first

  • karlwinkler66 is an hero.

He makes super spud guns and doesn't afraid of anything.

  • You are an hero.
