Hitler knew Germany could not win in a war against Britain and he was a honest man NOT bent on world domination, in fact most of the conquered territories were able to keep their sovereignty. France declared war on Germany months before the phony war, what few people knows is that France invaded Germany first in 1939, not the other way around!
