In the 80s and 90s, Konami were easily one of the very best japanese video game companies on any system. Most of their games from that era have very strong soundtracks. The soundtrack to MG2 however, is exceptionally great, even by their own standards. All those tunes are excellent compositions, masterfully engineered on the SCC and PSG soundchips.

The first time I heard L1 Warning was on MGS: Special Missions, and I thought it was an original for that game. Kinda took me by surprise when I found out it was on MG2.
