SONY is faster some Vaio is way faster than any laptop. ok so now I'm looking for to buy this laptop too small business laptop Sony VAIO VGN-Z530 or other but I really want that SONY again

I have the VGN-Z610Y, its a great laptop and I got it for an insane $599 at Best Buy. Best of all I just walked it and it was on sale, I bought it and then walked out with it, it took no longer than 10 minutes.

The only problem is that getting linux to work with the graphics cards is a real pain.

If you want to do more than leave it next to your iphone in the coffee shop for everyone to see, don't get Sony. get the bios update and it will make this laptop boot much quicker.

windows vista works great if you have a decent computer. I aways thought it was much more stable then xp. All of that vista sucks crap was caused from ms breaking compatibility. once everything caught up... it was all good.. those of us who already had good shit... generally were all good anyways :)

I don't think this is the "perfect laptop" because - it has a smaller keyboard layout. Way to small for adult males to use. I would recommend the MAcbook Air.

But this does have a built in DVD drive.

And an excellent Matte screen.
