  • haha, let me put that monster in my minivan

  • if i had the money i wud get this guy ta build me an engin

  • holy shit!

  • What a bad ass motor that is.

Tom Nelson knows what he's doing, don't ya think??

  • sounds like a piss off cat

  • @zman6033 cat? more like a lion lol

  • I think that coupler ballooning out speaks wonders in its self

  • im fucking scared of this motor :(

  • holy shit.... Is it gonna eat me?

  • shit!!!

you see that hose bubble up

  • F'in NASTY!

Not used to seeing a pro-charger run a COG belt setup. Usually see 'em fitted to roots-type blowers.

Bet the power hits like a mack truck when you're in-car!

  • put that in my 280Z

    hahaha

  • haha u could't afford tires

  • ive been building up my 82 ford f350's 400m with all my own money and i just turned 18 i work 20 hours a week at a pizza shop. so far ive got... a set of hooker haeders, an edelbrock performer rpm 400 aluminum intake, with an edelbrock performer 750cfm 4 brrl carb, with edelbrock forged push rods and valves, flat top pistons with a 9:1 ratio. i still have yet to get it dyno'd but hopefully will have specs for ya guys soon.

  • thats bad ass bro let me know what hp and tq you make

  • yeah will do, im gunna hopefully have a vid of it on the dyno at dyno days here in the twin cities. my brothers buddies 05 GMC diesel is pushing 1200hp its fuckin nuts lol he wants to hook bumpers with me i was like fuck that bro

  • at 1:44 look at the tube expand o.O nuts

  • oh nevermind about the hp.. price?

  • price? hp?

  • it says 1108 hp, 935 lbs, 14.9 boost lol

  • i bet taking off that valve cover is a pain

  • I be the one to tell you now, with this here engine I gonna whoop your ass. Awesome...

  • Gotta love BBC engines. Everything on that engine except the intake is bolt on. Bolt on blower, bolt on headers, heads, everything. And even that intake could have been purchased and bolted on if they wanted to. EFI is the only thing that's custom. And guess what? You can bolt on EFI too!

Now make those numbers using a power steering pump, alternator and AC compressor and I'd be impressed.

Not all that impressive when everything is available off the shelf. Just expensive.

  • LOL you are dumb as they come. You think you know but you have no idea!

  • What do you mean? There's bolt on nitrous...bolt on race heads that flow insane numbers, bolt on everything for a BBC.

Do that with an unpopular engine and it might be impressive.

If this was a street engine, then a power steering pump and AC would make it a true street car- something you could drive every day. But you could still just bolt this engine right together and drive right away.

To me, that makes it pretty much pointless, just really expensive.

  • your comments are pretty much pointless.good thing i didnt have to pay for them like all the bolt on parts.stfu dude

  • Personally, I'd rather have a 50 HP blown flathead Ford engine that I built myself and refurbished all the parts on myself than this motor.

    Why?

Because this thing will mean pretty much nothing to you if it blows up. It'll be a big chunk of money gone, but you'll have lost no personal investment of time.

I'll have put hundreds of hours into my flathead, and so I'll be enjoying it much more.

Also, I hate pretentious rich assholes like you.

    So fuck off.

  • hey faggot i built my 454 big block chevy with my dad with all the money i earned from working my ass off. ive been restoring my whole fucking car with my money and ive put over 3 years of work into it.thats fucking time.i know about investment of time.

  • Good for you.

What, you want a trophy or something?

The engine in this video was not built by a father and son. It was not built over a period of years. It was built with $20,000-$30,000 invested into it, conservatively. It was probably built in under a month. It was a really fucking expensive turnkey engine.

I like people who build their own engine. I don't like people who buy the best engine and have someone install it for them and build their car for them and then say they built it.

  • im 15 i cant earn 20-30 grand for when i get my license.fag.i want to make a living doing that too.i come from a poor family and didnt have 20 to 30 thousand in the bank.just enough to get by..i do want a trophy you cum donut.

  • Well, that would explain your terrible grammar and your shitty attitude.

Hell, I actually thought you were an adult who knew what they were talking about for a second there.

Now, tell you what. Fuck off. You haven't been working on a 454 since you were 11 or 12. If you were, you weren't doing anything constructive.

So fuck off insecure little faggot. Go learn something about cars, and most especially, take a couple basic fucking English classes you retarded son of a bitch.

  • What about a rich ass hole who reads and studies the cutting edge technology to build his own 1500hp monster.

For a fraction of the price of one of Nelson's engines.

And has the satisfaction of knowing he did it himself much like yourself!!!

  • cause no rich fella is going to do t himself when he can just spend some cash and presto, there it is

  • NRE builds just about everything in shop. they are pretty much a machine shop.

  • DOHHHH

  • i dont trust rubber(2kids by the way).....alluminum would have been better

  • look at 2:40, the plastic containers at the back of the room lol

  • is that all you got? lol...jk cool vid

  • Silicone couplers have no business on an engine of that magnitude. Get that man some v-band clamps!

  • i dont think they are silicone......it looks more like rubber!

    Very amature on their behalf!!

  • SIKKK.. look at the expansion on the 1st coupler comming off the SC at 10psi... NRE does good work from what I've seen so far.

  • It is a similar process but the ProChargers are belt driven. A turbo is driven off the exhaust, the exhaust spins a bladed impeller that has another bladed impeller connected to it that draws air into the motor. The blower has more instantaneous response, but the turbo has less parasitic loss.

  • LOL I love the Homer DOHH part.......but kidding aside....that little silicone tube looked like it was a spline about to burst!....other than that....BADASS!!

  • that propeller would have made a good dust vaccumcleaner..

  • imoprt supercars have nothing on motors like this

  • you might want to fix the bulge. need i say heavy duty. nice numbers thou, probably would make more with out the bulge

  • unless you use steel, I would doubt you could stop that from happening.

  • u could use steel or aluminum for the pluming but u would want to use a heavy duty rubber or a urathaine coupling for the canections.

  • thats only 14. pounds of boost? I'm curious to see 25 to 30 pounds of boost and what that hose would look like lol

  • still hadnt peaked power..... keep spinning her up.... but ya may want a bit more fuel above 6500.... the A/F ratio came up from 11.xx to above 12...... lets see what t hat biotch tops out at...

  • Its Saying FEED ME FEED ME did you see the hose with the heartbeat!

  • the end was funny lol

    just plain badass.

  • It's going in a 68 Pro-Touring Firebird

  • omg watching this makes me goose bumps

  • Crap!! thats crazy shit, looks like if you would put that in a car it would twist the chassi.

  • sounds like it has 'mad cats disease'

  • funny

  • what is that motor going in i have got to know it looks like it could twist a frame if it hooks up

  • were did u get the turbos i have a 454 stroked to a 540 but i want the turbos

  • its centrifugally supercharged. using a procharger F1 trim.

  • fail

  • JESUS CHRIST! see that pipe throbbing? that thing's alive! I had no idea the sort of pressure those things could go at
