it shows how it all began. In the beginning there was no matrix, only humans and early robots. Then they developed better robots. After the robots won they created the matrix for the humans. It's not about nutrients but about soul I guess. Robots can be better and more effective than humans, but they have no soul. Thats why it becomes a symbiotic relationship.

That's same thing Neo said in the movie. I didn't know what he meant by that until now. So I guess it only makes sense if it's him.

I will say right now, that they created these transcendental hatching apparatuses, at a time when many people were coming into this world; many revolutionaries who had to wake up. Can someone explain to me why the agents would want the kid? I can understand them going after Neo because he's "the one". Connected to the source etc. I don't understand why the agents care that these people (the kid etc.) know "the truth" or care that they get unplugged. Can someone explain that to me?

Because he found out that there is something "odd" about this world.

The agents are suppose to keep people from finding out about it in order to prevent revolts.

Small scales are fine, but in a large scale, it would be difficult to handle for the system even when they have nearly total power over the humans.

There are many ways of explaining this.

For one, this is a cybernetic world, which means that everything is interconnected and can be searched, found, and observed by the control programs, such as the agents.

So finding out his actions aren't difficult, especially when it comes to a computer doing it.

Another way is, like you said, they found out through traces of records of the kid contacting the outside world. These actions are considered abnormalities in the Matrix world.

@aijunk2 The two brothers who wrote it were Buddhist, as a result there are many many levels and messages in the film about freedom and happiness. It goes far beyond a normal action film. To give a brief summary in a nutshell would be to do this master piece an injustice. I highly recomend you buy the dvds or rent them.
