There is a LONG WAY to go within the LGBT Community! It appears the virtually the community as a whole is only geared for the early 20 somethings! I am only 22. I STILL experience age discrimination -- OF BEING TO FUCKING OLD! TWENTY-TWO! This is ludicrous! Admittedly I am an ageist when it comes to SEX! But SOCIALLY there MUST NOT be any age discrimination! That's stupid and hurts our cause seriously! STOP THE "YOUTH ONLY" ATTITUDE RIGHT NOW! We ALL get old, PERIOD. Get over with it!
I am in my 20's. The GLBT Community is VERY GULTY od age discrimination! This is the only area that I am ASHAMED to be a gay man! I am still considered relatively young. Most of my other gay friends are much older, one in his 60s! Many gay sites, the FIRST thing they ask for is your age. If you are 40+ its HARD! 50? virtually IMPOSSIBLE! 60s ABSOLUTELY FORGET IT! You would be "off the map"! "Out of the frame"! Ostracised! Not just sexually speaking, but SOCIALLY as well! SHAMEFUL!
