  • this is the track i have been looking for the best

  • wow

  • Beautiful theme!

  • @TheAltair4

Indeed, it's just magical and exotic isn't it? i wish Elmer gotten a nomination for this score and it's just so memorable. I can see why this story and Den influenced Avatar, there are some similarities to Taarna in the film like Neytiri being preciously like her as she is strong, beautiful and deadly as he rides a dragon and the battle between her and Quatrich was a direct homage to Taarna's battle.

  • @Johnlindsey289 Yes, both stories have similarities to Avatar. The story of Taarna is fundamentally a re-imagined spaghetti western set on an alien planet. It has the same type of theme anyway with the silent warrior ( or gunslinger ) out to get the evil bad guys ( or bandits ) who killed the innocent villagers.

  • @TheAltair4

And does Taarna's story remind you of Nausicaa? there are huge similarities such as a hot but good example of a strong willed woman who lives in the future, a prophecy, fighting tyrants and saving the world.

  • @Johnlindsey289 Yes, it does share similarities with Nausicaa as well. Taarna's story is a very sad one though because she pretty much sacrificed her life in vain trying to destroy the evil power of the Loc-Nar. At least her bloodline lived on in Grimaldi's daughter though.

  • @TheAltair4 What do you mean "in vain"? She actually DESTROYED the Loc Nar.

  • @vomitgorefromheaven Afraid not. Evil cannot be destroyed, only contained for an certain amount of time. The Loc Nar still existed long after Taarna sacrificed herself trying to destroy it and finally found the last surviving ancestor of her race of people and tried to kill her but failed so the neverending battle between good and evil continued on.

  • @TheAltair4 As far I remember, right after Taarna found her heroic ending, the Loc Nar, wich was trying to kill that teenage girl, was bronken into pieces. If not, then I must confess that I really misunderstood the movie ending. Why did the Loc Nar "failed" then?

  • @vomitgorefromheaven The Loc Nar self detonated like a bomb, blowing the house to smithereens but Grimaldi's daughter ran and escaped being blown apart from the blast so the Loc-Nar failed in it's attempt to kill her. When the flying mount appeared to her the girl flew off on it and transformed into a new Tarakian warrior. The Loc-Nar and it's evil power & influence weren't destroyed at the end but merely contained for another generation and her mission was to protect the next generation from it.
