ya fermentation and rotting is very different. alcohol is bad and i most certainly don't condone it's use but once again your wrong. the 'open juice' would rot, and would mold. it could ferment but only if a wild yeast were to land on it. yeast causes fermentation not mold or rot. and sugar is used to create alcohol not speed up the process. the yeast creates it by using the sugar as a food source. now a days we use specially cultured yeast so that we know it won't rot or mold. do research
