Thanks for that one sentence, I was a bit daunted with trying to remember the distinctions between Glucose, Fructose etc... but now all I'll have to worry about is my Ketone/Aldehyde recognition (and those weird configurations :p)

No, I don't think carbon can make quadruple bonds because of the posible orbitals involved. Bigger atoms can do quadruple, quintuple, and sextuple bonds.
