you don't need 30 hit combos to play with a friend. the TvC combo engine is quite simple and self explanatory - nobody expects you to pull off infinites after half an hour of practice.

4 hit chain combo, special, that shouldn't be too hard, eh?

This game represents one area of fighting games though. It's not even released in the US. Theres a lot of traditional games coming out this year. SF4 being the first one. Don't be surprised if you like one of them. :)

Keep in mind here that at this level, execution-- or how fast a guy can press a button, for that matter-- is a moot point. Brute speed isn't the issue either: these are very complicated and precise strings. They're not easily accessible at all. Both guys are good enough at execution that they can do whatever combo they have to do. At that point it comes right back to what every fighting game is about: mind games. That's still what separates the winner from the loser in any good fighting game.
