they are so inspiring to me. i wish i could come out and tell my family and friends but i'm not ready to yet. the fact that they are openly gay and happy and succesful gives me hope that one day i could have a happy and healthy life with my future partner. so thank you to tegan and sara, you two are so amazing.
being a teenage lesbian, i have kind of strange way of defining my sexuality because where i live in ireland people not only make fun of it a lot of the time, but even people who accept it would say, "are you a lesbian?" "yeah" then i'd be "that's leah the lesbian over there" and its like id stop being anymore than the girl who dates girls.
i love gay pride and iim very much a part of youth groups nd all, but to me, being "queer" is just natural, its as natural as me being straight would be :)
I wish my parents were like you to :( they found out that I might b gay, and were horrible about it, saying to my face they couldn't accept it and they wouldn't b able to c me as their daughter anymore! And then they asked me if I really was gay! How was I supposed to come out to them if I knew how they would react. So I said I wasn't. It's been almost a year Nd I still can't come out. :(( I just wanna b proud of who I am...
@MusikkizzLiife I am sorry about what happened to u. Parents shouldnt be afraid of what their children are...Being gay is something that u can change its jus who u are and some parents just dont understand that not excepting ur children for what they are makes it very hard on them to believe in themselves. You should try to sit them down and tell them that this is who you are and you cant change it. And i think that it will be easier on them and you when they except it.I wish u the best of luck
Never will I see what's wrong with gay rights. My mom always disagrees with me. I am pro gay marriage and I think it should be legalized. If a man and woman can love each other, why can't a woman and woman love each other? Why can't a man and a man? Love is love. And love sees no gender. It is so amazing that Tegan and Sara are such role models to people who are gay. And I look up to them for those reasons. For as long as I live, I WILL fight for gay rights. <333
