  • What's with the retarded kids? Do they think the future will be full of retards? Politically correct bullshit ruined an otherwise great demo of future tech.

  • I take that back. Isn't this those cooking games for the Nintendo DS?

  • Isn't this Kinet?

  • 1923+95 years = This video is set in 2018.

We probably will have gesture-based interfaces in 2018. We're already seeing it a little bit with Kinect.

  • And here Im am on my iPod

  • This is cool, much better than microsoft's future vision

  • Es el sistema de kicnekc, que pudo ser de apple.

  • at 3:05 that's the pyramid game thing from TNG

  • Computer talking to me would piss me off ;P or suggesting what I should . Talin to me, Huh?

  • Wow! Vertical Cover Flow!

  • esas eran ideas de cuando steve jobs no estaba

  • why are there so many retarded people there?

  • @neothugx future Macs are so easy to use even retards can do it!

  • Apple has always been an idea company. One of their big ideas is making computers that do things for people. An intelligent agent, if you will. We are not there yet. But Apple is rapidly putting the building blocks together and I wouldn't be surprised if within the next 10 years, through partnerships with others such as Ray Kurzweil, for example, they didn't actually reach and surpass the technologies shown in this and the Knowledge Navigator videos. Good stuff.

  • yea yea yea keep poring milk , who is he anyway , the computers don't make people stupid but the shity material on them yes ,almost everything is about business ........ keep poring milk

  • flipping stonners......always eating all the cookies!

  • Very nice. I read a while back -- or was it on Ken Ray's podcast (Mac OS Ken) -- that the technology is now on the market in very beta-stage, to have the iSight camera read hand movements in front of the monitor to do basic tasks like flipping through Finder files or iPhoto pix... we're getting there. What's so wunnerful here is Apple's long-term dedication to the user experience. Thanks for posting this.

  • What the HELL is the info summary supposed to mean? Can't you communicate in English?

  • This is a bizarre video, although, I do understand assistive technology can get the mentally disabled extremely far. But I believe this technology is a bit strange in terms of human interface, we are now using tough sensitive displays, not hand gesture displays.

  • See my comment a few below yours... it's here. Touchscreens are today's tech, which keeps on evolving.

  • We have MOST of the technology..... MOST of it.

  • retarted people?!

  • You spelled that wrong.

  • Wait, was her cursor a triforce? o.o

  • Great video with many interesting things.

I hope to find a high resolution version to download.

  • Notice how they skip steps in making a cake! Milk turning into bater? I always point out useless things... I'll shut up now.

  • lol

  • Spinkle spinkle sprinkle spinkle spekle spring roll :D ( 5:30 )

  • A computer would never talk to this woman. I mean to this exact woman.

Is this to show that only retarded people will use Apple computers? Wait, is Apple going to bring us all together with the ability to learn, create, and communicate by using painfully slow interfaces?

A future this lame is my nightmare.

  • first

  • That was awesome...That was really cool. Apple had some really good ideas.

  • wow, that was cool

  • They were Way ahead on thier time with this video. You can ususaly tell how dated things look but even the fact that they had the LCD type screen before anyone even heard of that. Back in 80'! Wow.

  • Cool. Well they're almost there - with the iSight camera, all in one upright flatscreen computer, some voice recognition, and the gestures / inkwell are done on a tablet not in the air.

  • I really like this video and it shows how great the mac really is and how much all people can use this machine ...

  • Like the voice-over pronunciation of "Quasimodo" as "Quarzimoto". Oh you pesky Americans and your comedy use of the English language...

  • That's over 230 years in the making. It's our language ;)

  • wow, apple even knew about the 10 minute limit youtoube THEN!

  • I don't think that's a coincidence, it being 10 minutes.

  • Hey, Apple really was way ahead of its time. This technology could level the playing field for all kinds of people. Heck, I'd love to have an interactive USB scale in my kitchen. Best of all, some of it looks a lot like the current AppleTV! We're getting there.

  • No USB, cordless ;)

  • I wonder if you still crank your car to start it. What an ass. I bet when MS comes out with their usual 5-10 year old ideas borrowed from someone else you say WOW! that's cool.

  • you actually put thought into that comment, I personally think apple is just the product you need in your life for concentrating on this like you have on these possibilities for the people you PC YOU 1

  • You should review your comment, it's filled with discrimination...

PS: Hope that Apple still has the project running...
