@NostalgicSince2005 I know that's not really specific, but each time you enter a new screen, you can avoid fighting it by doing something (in one screen, you have to walk instead of run and on the bridge, you have to keep running back and fourth because it will jump over you a couple of times).

It's kind of ridiculous that they expected the player to figure that out, but it's better than nothing.

Actually, the gameplay is most important. You can, however, forgive bad gameplay (maybe. it depends how bad we're talking.) if the story and characters are engaging. Is the Pokemon story engaging? I remember every time I started playing the game, I would get as far as this and just say "that's it, I'm putting it down" This is about as far as I've ever gotten in the game, and I've tried playing it MULTIPLE times. Also, is it just me? Or is Seifer actually MORE tolerable and LESS unlikable than Squall? Sure, he's a jerk, but at least he's not a pretentious emo douchebag. I guarantee you that if you think about any moment in the game that makes no sense, you will find this at its core.

In addition, Look for the video that has the Motorcycle Attack during the garden wars. If you cant see the joke, you might want to try a different game.

@MMRED Irvine. Because he still rememberd what everyone else did not, but decided not to mention it because no one else had. He also uses expensive items for his Pulse ammo. Basically, not a great character outside of the first parts you get him.

Also, about Selphie: She had an attack that would defeat any boss instantly, called "The End." If you're patient and lucky enough, you can defeat the final boss and the superboss with this power.

Quistis had a one hit kill blue magic. Some good timing with Zell means you can defeat Omega in two turns. Rinoa has the decency to not be present for significant chunks of the game, so cant really be too mad with her..And Squall is great because it led to an endless series of people insulting his Gunblade without knowing how it works.

(It doesnt fire bullets, it uses the recoil from them to momentarily send the blade vibrating at ultrahigh frequency.)

@lover3963 I wouldnt call it a Masterpiece. Until that is you attempt to use the Eat ability. I really enjoyed the huge diversity in gameplay. You can beat the game at level 12, or level 100. You can spam magic or never touch the stuff. You can Guardian Force your way through, or Card Mod the universe into your own little insane playpen. If you try to do ALL these things, it gets frustrating. Thats the gaems biggest mistake in my mind.
