I absolutely love your book. Would love to know where to find the binder thingy... I think you said it was for magazines but I've never seen them. My BOS is just a composition notebook with cloth sewn over the covers since it is my first one.
Although I've recently converted and 'came home' to Heathenry, I have a very strong interest in Wicca and books of shadows. Not sure if I'm going to make one of my own though because I am obviously Heathen, and I'm not sure if you are allowed to do that if you are following a different path than Wicca :S hell, I even watch Charmed on some occasions and love the show lol

That is a great idea! I bound my own two-fold book (like the beautiful one from Practical Magic too), and it was a lot of trouble (and a LOT of fun! haha).
On another note, I stumbled across this video and was just wondering what paganism is? Is that the one where there is a ram headed deity or something?
Is it an actual religion? I know I should google it but your personal p.o.v would probably be best. ta.

Hmm, a grimoire eh, I have something of the sort, cept I don't call it a grimoire and I don't use it like a grimoire. It's kinda like an alchemy/ forbidden necromancy arts, NOW! I don't practice necromancy, I just know the dark arts in order to recognize them. I also have my binding, and seals in the book, pretty much a grimoire, but i can 't call it a grimeoire cuz I'm not wiccan. I also do't wanna call it a grimoire, I don't even use it.
good. i still call mine a book of shadows and im a druid, a grimoire contains spells, a book of shadows contains generic things such as correspondences and stuff.
oh and i hear and agree with you when it comes to the dark arts as i have a book on them, but i don't touch it any more.

The folder was the type that you see advertised in magazines so that you can keep and store all your gardening or horse magazines etc together. It is only just like folder but with wire so you can add magazines or in my case blank A4 books without covers. I added a blank A4 book with the hard cover still on to give the front section which also opened, basically giving you 3 hard covers. I just loved the way the BOS in Practical Magic opened so i copied it from there. Hope that helps? BB )O(

The only term for a practitioners book that was created by Gardener when he developed Wicca was 'Book Of Shadows'
Grimorie is a term that is much older than Wicca and many non-Wiccan practitioners use it for their books.

I haven't started my book of shadows yet. I just havne't found the right journal that I want to use. The ones i've seen are either too small or i don't like the paper they come with. I think I also want one that i can add pages too.

you can use a binder and you can get some cloth from joanns and hot glue it to the binder and then you can put what ever you want into the binder!

That new BoS set up is a great idea! I didn't even think of using one of those folders for magazines and torn out books. Very creative.
