I just played this at my local shop today as a matter of fact. They just got it in used. Dave Mustain took twenty of them on his last tour and played everyone. He then signed the back of the headstock and numbered them and the one I played was #17. Very cool. $1675. The Blackout p/u's are very high output and sound great.

@valdivia562 If you know how to set a guitar up (truss rod, intonation etc) then you shouldn't have any bother.  Guitars are shipped all over the world from manufacturing plants to shops. Just make sure when it arrives you leave it a while in your house to be accustomed to that level of temperature and humidity, before you set it up.

@valdivia562 Its an important skill to learn. Just practice on a cheap instrument "just in case". Guitars change through time, especially if you move them about for gigs, and every now and then (especially if like me you like a low action) you will need to adjust it.

I'll have to disagree with all these comments.

It really looks nothing like James' old Explorers. ESPs are huge, bulky (in a good way), and this to me just looks a bit too sharp and anorexic. Every Explorer has a different personality, and these two are completely different.

But onto the guitar, I think it'd look a shitload better with a typical Explorer headstock, or at least a proper single-pointed one.

@OliverFranzon Hey man, I got an angel of deth VMNT and trust me it fuckin rules, plays better than almost any guitar I have played till now. The list includes, gibson, aria, ibanez, jackson, washburn,etc.

It really took me a while to decide b/w a jackson and this dean vmnt but I think I have made the right choice.
