personally i started off by doing 15 squats with 10kg dumbells in each hand and now i do 30 squats with 12kg in each hand (thats 24kg in total) and 30 squats with 24kg dumbells is enough for a day to day basis. note: if you do decide to do these squats you might just want to do your other exercises in between every 5 or 7 sqauts because trying to do them all in one sitting is going to kill you. i do 7 then i do my pressups then leg raisers then dumbell curls. then i go back to squats.......
heyy men, These wrong knee desplante angle should not exceed the tip of the foot to not develop a lesion in the ligaments, if you are going to record a video bear in mind the responsibility of the exercise
yoo i started squating and benching in 7th grade im going to tenth im squating allmost 400 and i went from 5 7 in 7th grade to 6 1 now its all a myth stunning growth
@pspnuts No. If I were you I would do body weight exercises. No weights yet and some light cardio. You want to get most of your workout from the body weight exercises. Don't eat less, just eat better. Eat grilled or baked chicken, beans, fish, spinach, salad, olive oil, nuts, etc. If you eat too few calories your body will go into starvation mode, and you will lose muscle, not fat; which will cause you to burn less calories. That is exactly what you DON"T want to happen. Good luck.
A good exercise. But I'd avoid locking your elbows on the upward, thursting motion as that causes the weight to be absorbed into the joints causing damage.
6Kgs might sound off, but you perhaps weigh over 10 times that(bodyweightsquat familiar-stairs to 7th floor). Take a db half of a weight which you can reach 8 on seated shoulder press. Now do 20-25 standing presses...Combine them like the video..low weight..fairly quick high reps...your muscles will scream trust me...boosts your power..may help in breaking plateaus from heavier weights..Power(ask Bruce Lee) is the result...

It doesn't work anything primarily. You cant train muscles unless you have a heavy enough weight. The weight that would allow you to do this is too light.
It could be done for plyometrics, which is nervous system training, but only if you fell into the bottom portion of the rep (almost a free fall), then EXPLODED back up, but he's not doing that either. Pretty much useless unless you modify one of those things.
I'm not much of a body builder myself (honestly), but from what I see, it would pretty much just tone the body and add fluid to the muscle, rather than reinforcing the fibers to create stronger and durable muscles. Correct me if I'm wrong (I'm learning to squat myself, running a mile a day no longer helps build my quads). Great vid by the way, though I'm sure I won't be doing the second portion of the exercise (raising the dumbbell with the arm...just squats for me).
Oh definitely, the body itself can be defined by the word adaptation, but what you're referring to is if I intended to gain a massive amount of muscle mass, in which I would have to practically lift weights that would kill me in 6 reps or so (not literally of course). I'm sure using a comfortable weight that is controllable and easy to manage would simply "tone" the muscle giving it very noticeable definition.
The word "tone" refers to an increase in electrical activity in the muscle at any given time. Once a muscle is put in use, this happens automatically. You can tone your muscles by washing dishes and mowing the lawn - you cannot avoid toning!! It happens REGARDLESS of the exercise. You can lift 1 time, you can lift 100 times. Since all exercises are toning, there are no "toning exercises".
If, after you've "toned" (which you can accomplish by washing enough dishes), you try the program in the vid, or any other program without enough weight to cause failure by some means or another, you WILL NOT change! You will stay exactly the same. Does this mean you have to lift a super heavy weight for 6 reps? No. 12 reps? No. 20 reps? No. I said failure "by some means" - you dont HAVE to reach anaerobic contractile failure like most bodybuilders.
You can take the weights and lift them real fast for 100 reps. If you reach failure at 101 reps, you've failed aerobically, and will thus cause capillerization, mitochondrial proliferation, and an increase in the VO2 max of the muscles that were used. In other words - you get more endurance. But if you take that same weight, and slowly lift it for 20 reps, then just stop because you got to 20 when you could have kept going, You. Will. Not. Change. At. All.
Thnx

Look into 100 meter sprints, 1600 meter repeats, and long or tempo runs.

ok, so some of the form isnt perfect, but the principle is fine and it makes people squat!!
most people shy away from squatting cos they are hard and if you want to grow then you must squat.

GOOD!!
but do NOT place your knees so far apart that is why when you come up your knees are locking inwards this is very BAD for your knees :(

i have a question... Im 16 and i havnt stopped growing yet. I started squatting with 15 pound dumb bells, will this affect my growth ?
DJmobsta09 2 years ago
No. Weight training has no more effect on your growth (negative effect) than most exercises.
You might as well not play football since there's far more stress to your body.

The weight has to be heavy enough to cause failure by one means or another, or it wont create adaptive changes. Thats a physiological law.

@atlaswingpasaway Holy crap people are actually listening to me???
Er, um, *ahem* - yes! Why of course. Anything that requires more effort than you were using before is a toning exercise.
