It means that he is using the individual source tracks of the song. More specifically, the guitar track is stored separately from the other tracks. That's how Guitar Hero is able to leave out the guitar when you don't hit the notes.

if i'm right you have to reburn the game onto a new dvd after switching the codes with a custom code but burning the dvd i think is the tricky part to make it work on a ps2 i've never gotten any of my backups to work. you may need to either soft mod or put a mod chip in your ps2
