  • That was a time that new york city had clubs for all people not just for tourist like now,new york did not need a casino to make something like the way vegas do,people just had an idea and make it happen,it suck that in a city with over 8,000,000 people we can not make a place that give people the time there life for all local or tourist, now it's just for tourist in new york city.

  • @1131982vincent The size and layout of the city is part of the problem, in my view.

  • looks good the movie and very funny :P

  • THEY NEED TO REOPEN IT....

  • i directed this motha fucker, cause its a true story with my bff ryan in it, my first directing debut

  • Funny thing that you can see it already @

    [[[ Movies Ace , C 0 M ]]]

  • ytownteddy-what kind of a tool are you? All it was was a crack house with some anal sex thrown in. A bunch of twisted freaks and drug addicts. You would have never got in anyway, so quit dreaming about it and come back from the twilight zone, you freak.

  • this movie is definitely a mixed bag they flawlessly portray the hedonism of the era via the film's visuals but why is the story line a watered down moral tale for the MTV generation?

  • so this movie is about....

  • yo what song is that at 1;48?

  • Don't Leave Me This Way - Donna Summer

  • oh my bad, it's Thelma Houston!

  • i hope they make a video game!

  • great film ! i loved studio 54 legend.

  • Great movie. I am like a lot of others who wish they had been born earlier, so I could've tried to get in when the club was "exclusive". I went to see the place. I must have stood outside looking at it for a half an hour. If you know anything about the history of the place you can't help but be hypnotized by it. You somehow see the crowds outside, and the fire hydrant the doorman used to stand on to sort out the chosen ones is still there. You almost get so lost in the stories that you...

  • ...put it into a mystical type of place in your mind. Then when you see it there, the front doors and all, you kind of lock up because you finally see it was a real place. I just kept saying in my head, "this is where it all happened". It was the center of the universe for so many. Great while it lasted in it's glory years of the late 70's. Sad that I missed it.

  • It's sad that this great movie never got the recognition it deserved.

Myers is a great dramatic actor and should quit his boring comedy schtick and do drama.

Great soundtrack and acting on this movie all around. One of my favourite movies ever.

I've watched it probably 50 times

  • really one of the best films ever made! an amazin film indeed

  • I love it, too. But it makes me sad, that I can never visit the 54.

  • Hello! Since I see some people here went to studio 54, Is it possible that somebody have met Gia? One of the super models? I´d really love to know... Kisses & Merry Xmas

  • I love the end of the credits where neve campbell grabs the disco ball and winks. Great movie... "Troglodyte!!"

  • Salma Hayek Rockz

  • What a time. Glamorous and decadent. The rich, the powerful, the artistic. A shame that no Japanese supermodels showed up. Not even the pop duo 'Pink Lady' too bad there primetime variety show stunk, thanks a lot Jeff Altman, you moron.

  • what is the song that starts 1:47 into this trailer??

  • Don't Leave Me This Way- Thelma Houston

  • it on HBO NOW

  • In which country? Do you think only your country has Internet? LOL! :D

  • There was no other time of my life when I felt so young and so free than at 54.....What a ride!!!!!!!

  • that's so cool you got to go there.

  • there was no place i felt so free at 54 like you too! even at Palace in Paris...

  • You stood in line at Studio 54, I stood in line at Studio 54 THE MOVIE! hehehe wow what an era gone by... I'm surprised you even use the internet :)

  • LOL your funny madzboi88,

But I was young cute and hung so never stood in line at 54. I was a club kid then and yes us ole fossils can us the puter...hahaha :)

    thanks for the laugh...Rock on!!!

  • What was your favorite song on a happening friday night?

  • God so many to choose from Donna summer, Ring my Bell, Don't leave me this way, cheese now your really testing my memory. Ah here's one for you Born to be alive....Weee. You know I wasted alot of good brain cells in that era...LOL. But God what a ride!!!

  • wow, Born to be alive... I just youtubed the original... It sounds way better than the Techno version we hear now by Benny Bennasi... Donna Summers reminds me of Beyonce... but backup dancing wasn't that great then was it? I've heard the Techno version of I feel love... love that song :) so tell us the stories. What did you have to do to get in to Studio 54? I'm dying to know about it :)

  • They used to play Vertigo/Born to be alive at 54. It was a duel song really the first part was just insturmental then born to be alive. In those days the disco was the rage and anything outrageous was in fashion. To get into 54 all you had to do was be hot, strange, cute, load, outrageous, unusual,a movie star or artist or naked...hahaha. I was all of those at one time or another. I was never refused entry but in those days I was an exotic dancer and rarely had clothes on. I fan danced and usually..

  • wore one of my original masks. (I'm an artist) was usually high on one thing or another and if I wasn't you could find anything at 54. Sex,Drugs and Disco. Just like the movie but mutliply that by about a 700 billion. that's all for now I'm getting all hot and bothered just thinking about my days there...haha. I'm lucky I survived..LOL

  • *madzyboi88 is awe struck*... :) yeah the movie cuts out a lot of stuff. But the thing is the movie was out 10 years ago. If they made it now it would have been better because they wouldn't be bothered to censor out the sex. What with queer as folk and sex and the city they've already got past the shock factor. :)

  • Hey guys!!! A user named Xbulelo has the movie in chapters. The video and audio quality its pretty good.

  • i love this movie it chance my life lol

  • a GREAT movie with an AWESOME soundtrack!!!! Mike Myers should've gotten at LEAST a Golden Globe nomination! one of his best performances!!!! I wish he would do more drama cause he can actually act.

  • NEVERENDING PARTY

  • i lov dis movie .....

  • Never heard of this movie...I wanna see it.

  • its on fx all the time

  • The song playing at the end of this trailer is:

Don't Leave Me This Way" by Thelma Houston. It's one of the great disco songs from the 70's. It should be available from iTunes or on many compilation disco albums. It's a great song.

  • I have a question.........The one part in the movie when greg tries to grab Anita off the floor when shes dancing with some guy in blue light. WHAT IS THAT SONG PLAYING? someone please help me i cant figure it out thanks in advance

  • This sound quality is awful but i love this movie. The only time i liked mike meyers.

  • I wasn't particularly impressed by the movie but the soundtrack is awesome.

  • Oh youre great^^ Thank you

  • You're just in luck!! I was looking for two songs today, one from that motorola commercial and this one. After searchinjg the last two hours I found it!

It's called "Don't leave me this way" by Thelma Houston, unfortunatley the only good part of it is, the chorus which is in so many movie trailers.

    ciao.

  • can someone tell me the name of the song thats on the end of the clip?^^

  • It's probabley good that Studio isen't still around. The way society has chnged, it probably woulden't have the same vibe at all. The fact that it is no more is waht makes it a legend!

  • Great film love new york just wish the club still was around

  • Oh, this is a great film :-D I wanna be Mona the old lady when I'm old and die on the dance floor!

  • just buy it lol it isnt that expensive its a few years out
