Well to those who think Tsunku made a big mistake... not really he knows what he's doing. He probably that sumire wasnt right in Morning Musume. Aika turned really really cute. Sumire was already a polished gem. but as she got older she turned more of a mature face not as cute as before

@RankoAnime He might regret it, but he does everything for a reason, and its usually good. I think he is trying to get people with talent but not TOO much talent, i only think that because in Sayumi's first recording, she didnt sound that well, but now that you listen to her, she changed.

@Helloprojectlover1 Tsunku sometimes try to choose girls who are like "unpolished gems", members like KonKon and Sayu were very successful as japanese idols. I must say, he had great instinct for choosing them! I think he also does it to try and change or transform the girl whilst she's in the group, for the girl's and the group's benefit.

Do your research about AKB48 next time you decide to voice your opinion. not really, Ayami Masuda was invited to join Avex. I think she is the true winner. And I dont think AKB48 popularity will last long, considering MM was 10 times more famous than them before and they still facing the down turn.

I haven't heard anything about Masuda since the auditions. Sumire is now in AKB48's Team B and she has a contract with Horipro, one of Japan's best talent agencies. And your prediction that AKB48 are suddenly going to stop being popular is obviously just your bias as a bitter H!P fan. Aside from being idols, they aren't even the same type of group. Onyanko Club's popularity lasted two years while H!P's lasted around four, so it's ridiculous to try to predict AKB's future based on other groups.

Not really. First thing I have to say before you accuse me of being a "bitter H!P fan", I have to say that both groups (Morning Musume and AKB48) are amazing. I also think that their golden age isn't going to last that long. The only thing they seem to have is the fact that it's 48 of them and they're just milking the whole idol thing as well as them making other spin-off 48 groups and too so the whole thing in time would just implode.
