At first I had the new channel, then switched to the old one. I love the old one so much! I am still relatively new to the world of youtube, and the old channel gives me a chance to talk about myself, but the new one...it doesn't let me do that! I am not looking foreward to the new one becoming official.

Best thing to do is what I did. Remove all my videos. We make YouTUbe what it is. Our content drives their profits. That's exactly why I removed my videos. They just lost 30 videos and 165 possible subscribers.
In my opinion the new panda layout is to "unpersonal". So far, you've been able to customize your channel a lot and make it personal, but no more. (Take a look at my channel, I find my current one very personal due to my own customization). One thing that could make the new layout look sooo much better was that if the white within the new layout was (could be) transparet. Then you can still customize your layout.

How are we going to be able to tell people apart. At least give us some freaking choices for god's sake. I prefer the new look. I like the playlist organisation on the main page. I have 200 vids, and some are for cars, drums etc.... i have them nicely organised in playlists for visitors. The feed tab is only viewable to page visitors, and most just avoid it anyway. I think that if people dont like youtube, theres no rules that say you have to use it. Delete your account and find another outlet. There was a time when there was no internet - now everyones codependant on it.

Youtube doesn't care unless it hurts their wallets. What you need to do is complain to google. Google owns youtube. If you don't do business with google, or don't advertise or promote videos with them, most likely you will not be heard, However, if paying users start shutting down their promoted videos campaigns, THAT'S what gets attention. I shut down mine, and they assigned someone right away to "HELP" me continue giving them MY money. Money talks, BS walks people. Hit em in the pockets.
YouTube is losing the good things and the goodwill that made it so special. Very disheartening the majority here couldn't care less...about the destruction of a website they have come to love that has enriched their lives so much.

Why does youtube have to change so constantly? I just noticed that on the home page usernames in your stream have gotten so small it is hard to read them. If you have a good eye you will notice stuff like this every single week. It's like they are trying to push out users altogether.
Hey there, you can always just go to settings, then Sharing, then Share your activity and un-click the boxes there. This will help if you upload a lot and you will not be spamming :) I do think it will be very hard for the big suits to control the internet. Youtube was better when a persons individual channel showcased their videos, now they have it on some tiny bar named "uploaded videos" unless of course someone comes to your page and clicks on the videos tab. Anyway, they sure know how to mess up a good thing... some of these sites! The old view was better in my opinion. Youtube messing the view of the pages up and making them less personalized just like myspace did.

The new Design is in no Way functional - besides all my Descriptions and Texts are deleted by the new Design and adding Contacts and Stuff is unnecessarily complicated. I got a pale white Site with a big Videofeed wtf all unorganized and Bullshit - and now they force the Design on us ! I will quit on YouTube if this is going on like this.
I've got news for ya... the big partners are going down with the new Youtube. Navigating to any of the leading favorites will be excruciatingly painful and I just won't do it anymore. Neither will a lot of viewers. I don't want my viewing history tracked and the 'SUGGESTIONS' I see filtered anymore. I'm sick of being manipulated. Youtube, masters of manipulation. @grumpchong I think this new idea is perfect for YouTube!!! I love the idea....example,,why pay cable or satellite providers when u can get it free on YouTube. When it got sued by people for infringement on music or copyrighted material it lost profit. So this new idea is a way to bypassing that and lets admitte that currently the channels do suck!! I don't like the new layout either. I do have a tip.On your channel, click on the "edit channel" button on the upper left. then in the "Edit my channel" section, click on "Featured Tab" link. Then you can select between several ways to show stuff on the main tab. Avoid "blogger" because it looks too spammy. You could try the other three. I prefer to use the "creater" option. It has a player for the featured video, and playlists. I can select as few playlists as I like, so it's not so spammy.
All these customization features cost Google more money, so being another typically greedy corporation, someone (in this case, us) must get royally fucked so their employees can live higher on the hog.
The channel page is total junk I have tested it 3 times and it makes me want to bang my head against the wall. There is no blog for me to add a comment about myself and what I am about.
People sub to me so I go to their channel to see if I should sub back and what do I see NOTHING no Who they are, no Where they are, no What they are into and no way to email them. YOUTUBE YOU FECKED IT ALL UP!!!!!!!!

The only reason they would do this (or anything) would be to make more money. How does this design make Google more money? well, apparently the customization features we all like cost Google too much, so it is trashing them (and us) in order to maximize profit. By minimizing content and customization Google saves processing power, which costs money. So they get richer, and we get screwed.
It does suck. MAJORLY. If they really want to kill YouTube, and this is their way of showing it, let them get on with it. Obviously they have no original ideas if it's beginning to look like Myspace (I've never been on Myspace, and nor do I intend to). They're swimming in the deep end, and it will crash and burn. They need to open their eyes, and get their asses in gear.

YouTube is losing the good things and the goodwill that made it so special. Very disheartening the majority here couldn't care less...about the destruction of a website they have come to love that has enriched their lives so much.
All the fun, creativity, randomness, interesting and free thought are being taken away.
Soon the spirit will be gone lost forever and YouTube will be nothing but a hollow heartless shell - just another bland website that looks like Facebook. So sad.

Why does youtube have to change so constantly? I just noticed that on the home page usernames in your stream have gotten so small it is hard to read them. If you have a good eye you will notice stuff like this every single week. It's like they are trying to push out users altogether.

Hey there, you can always just go to settings, then Sharing, then Share your activity and un-click the boxes there. This will help if you upload a lot and you will not be spamming :) I do think it will be very hard for the big suits to control the internet. There are just to many connections ;) I do think it is a real shame for all the people who designed their channel so well. For them to be killed is wrong. What are they thinking. David.

Youtube was better when a persons individual channel showcased their videos, now they have it on some tiny bar named "uploaded videos" unless of course someone comes to your page and clicks on the videos tab. Anyway, they sure know how to mess up a good thing... some of these sites! The old view was better in my opinion. Youtube messing the view of the pages up and making them less personalized just like myspace did.

I've got news for ya... the big partners are going down with the new Youtube. Navigating to any of the leading favorites will be excruciatingly painful and I just won't do it anymore. Neither will a lot of viewers. I don't want my viewing history tracked and the 'SUGGESTIONS' I see filtered anymore. I'm sick of being manipulated. Youtube, masters of manipulation. The last bastions of freedom are being ripped from out lives. Great way to abuse your power google.

When it got sued by people for infringement on music or copyrighted material it lost profit. So this new idea is a way to bypassing that and lets admitte that currently the channels do suck!! I don't like the new layout either. I do have a tip.On your channel, click on the "edit channel" button on the upper left. then in the "Edit my channel" section, click on "Featured Tab" link. Then you can select between several ways to show stuff on the main tab. Avoid "blogger" because it looks too spammy. You could try the other three. I prefer to use the "creater" option. It has a player for the featured video, and playlists. I can select as few playlists as I like, so it's not so spammy.

The only reason they would do this (or anything) would be to make more money. How does this design make Google more money? well, apparently the customization features we all like cost Google too much, so it is trashing them (and us) in order to maximize profit. By minimizing content and customization Google saves processing power, which costs money. So they get richer, and we get screwed.

Everything was where I could see it-- subscriptions, friends, favorite videos, and COMMENTS and everything could be seen by everyone else so they could find stuff too and participate....... but now I have like an empty page with two pathetic tabs. Everything is hidden and has to be clicked on. I don't need everything sorted like that-- why do you force that on me??? I like to search for things, not have 5000 'Recommendations' made based on something I commented on yesterday WTF???
