I honestly don't see this song as just for Gil, but I don't think it's just for Alice either. I honestly think he's singing to both of them, and not in a relationship way like all you fans are obsessing about, but for him to have them as his friends. yes, as currently in the manga, Alice is Oz's top priority and obsession, but that doesn't stop the friendship between the three. Even Gil and Alice get along now in the manga. So I honestly think it's all about friendship, not your fanservice.

Does anyone ever think character songs are sort of weird? Especially in non-comedy shows. Maybe it's just a biased Western POV but it would seem crazy if, say, the cast of Friends or a soap opera came out with a CD with the actors singing songs about their characters and random love songs. Obv its not the same as anime but there's no real Western equivalent.

I dunno, sometimes it seems a little out of place but it's overall pretty enjoyable.

Gilbert never changed in the end he was still quiet, kind, shy, and his servant. Remember that episode were gilbert protected oz.

Oz told him never to do that because he would protect him as his MASTER.

Another thing, it says he was getting accustomed to loneliness because he would get no love from his father but gilbert came and he needed him.

Gilberts song matches alot with ozs song, therfore i think Oz song is for gil.
