@Obsoliit When I bought mine new I made sure to get one that was built in Japan not Indiana. It paid off for me. My Honda also has the original automatic transmission. I'm a mechanic as well and if the owner of the car is a fucktard that ignores maintenance issues the car will be a pile of shit. It's just that a honda accord can handle the neglect a bit better than say a ford taurus. Japs may be ugly with tiny dicks but they can build cars.

Every major automaker has made some good engines. I love Honda 4 cylinder engines. GM's ecotec is also a great 4 banger. Nissan makes a great V6. Chevy's V8s are legendary. Dodge's Hemi is a great motor. The japs make a good V8 diesel, the Duramax. But the Ford/Navistar's Powerstroke is also great. Cummins makes the best light duty truck diesel though. VW's diesel TDI is also great. BMW makes AWESOME inline six motors. Hyundai's Genesis V8 is winning awards left and right.
