Right, let's keep this simple. This is stupid. The quality of this phone is probably absolutely breath taking, but they are just trying to hard. I understand that if you are going to pay that much for a mobile, you would want something to look different, but not to the point where it is inpractical. Everything looks like it just takes that much longer, however, using it is probably a dream but that isnt enough to convince me that this is a good investment. More money than sense to have this.

I don't see when I would ever use something like this over my Blackberry. Having anything more than one phone is very inconvenient. You either have to switch your sim card around or deal with having multiple numbers, which is all right I suppose if you have one for work and a personal number but even then I'd expect my personal phone to be a bit more practical.

Blacckberry for work and an iPhone for the weekend is all anyone will ever need or want.

Second of all, B&O is the most innovative brand on this area. If it wasn't for B&O, the world of technology would have looked totally different today... for an example, B&O invented the touch-wheel that apple uses on their iPod. so without B&O, there'd be no iPod either... just one example...

@gjaddajg yes true but its the software not the hard ware, macs crash far less as there operating system runs far smoother and more efficiently, hence why almost all live dj's use macs, cos if there computer crashes there fucked :P the cost comes from the reliability, ease of use, looks and build quality, tho i dont doubt they add a price for the name ;)

Speaking of reliability; B&O are known for their longlasting and reliable technology, so that would be a reason to buy the phone as well. In 50 years time it'll probably work just the same as the day you bought it.

Are you talking about the beovision 7-40? This TV has no means to upgrade the BD profile when new ones come out meaning some time down the road you will be stuck with your 15k TV and not able to play the movies that depend on the new profile. Also, I have the beosound 9000 and it's an esthetically pleasing regular CD player with a mechanical arm that goes to the disc you want to play....Overpriced products like this are really 1999 when corporations grew without shame selling things like this.

I've owned loads of phones, and the mid range ones- 100 to 180 pounds are faultless really, they're designed to work hard and last long. This B&O is totally overpriced, how on earth could they have spent more than £300 pounds on it considering the features and the specification!? Waste of money and it would be frustrating to use. B&O's Serenata may be the best music phone, but it's extremely unpractical for how much it costs. As for electrical products, there are MUCH better brands out there. First of all, B&O's audio equipment is nothing compared to brands like B&W, Classe, Krell, and Wilson. Those brands cost WAY more than B&O, and heck, you can get much cheaper audio equipment that sounds better than B&O's.

But, B&O does do a great job making materials. However, that doesn't mean their electronics are the best.

Oh I do know that more expensive doesn't always mean better. Take B&O for example; their lower-end speakers are comically overpriced for what you get. My system consists of $300/pair Paradigm bookshelf speakers and a $600 Yamaha amp, and it sounds better than all of them. While B&O's higher-end, like the Beolab 9 and 5, is much better, there's still systems that cost much less that totally blow them away.

And like I said, there's audio brands out there that are WAY more expensive than B&O.

Anyway, about those more expensive brands; they absolutely CRUSH B&O. I've heard the Wilson Maxx speakers, which are $50K/pair, and they were hooked up to about $20K worth of Classe amps/pre-amp. Those alone sounded better than anything B&O, but add a JL Audio Gotham subwoofer, and you've got a ROYAL B&O butt-kicking fest.

Believe what you want, but audiophiles DON'T or RARELY buy B&O.
