Either way, the Bible claims that man is made in the image of God, however most 'men' are refractions, not reflections of the creator, due to misapplication of free choice. I will ascend into heaven

I will exalt my throne above the stars of God

It does not get much clearer than that. This is repeated time and again in the Bible....Satan is trying to mimic the salvation we have in Christ.
