This made me cry a bit because im in love with some one at my school and she doesnt love me the same way and this just reminded me so much of me and her </3
In the book Amy and Laurie make more sense imo, and I thought they had more of a romantic chemistry than Jo and Laurie, who to me were more like brother and sister. The movie versions have always had a harder time capturing that because they rush through the Amy and Laurie romance. I'm hoping this one doesn't.
Ok so I just exited this movie minutes ago, but I'm back. I did some reflecting and I came to the conclusion that it's fine the way it is. Amy and Laurie. Why I think so: We all have preferences, images of how we think things are. That's okay. I mentally looked back at the movie and realized that Laurie and Jo were always really good friends. He thought they could be more, but they were just friends. Look at some of the subtly obvious signs and you'll see. It took me a while, but I saw :)
@timidteen4 I'm glad you came back! Have you read the book? Amy and Laurie are much better in the book than in the other movie versions that I've seen. This is my first time watching this one however, so maybe they'll get it right.
I am not going to watch the remaining parts bcuz I want to hold onto that idea that Jo and Laurie ended up together. Watching the scenes where Amy and Laurie are together would completely annihilate that vision...
@85mcm702 i heard that Louisa got lots of letters begging her to pair Jo with Laurie but she wanted Jo to have someone more intellectual and still have Laurie in the famliy
@SaltwaterAir1 Amy matured, didnt you watch that part where she lectured Laurie like Jo did? i was suprised myself the very first time i read the book but i was still happy for them. dont be mean
@missyadams Nope I stopped b4 i saw this part--read the comments & decided it wasn't worth it. I agree amy could mature but still, laurie belongs 2 jo. their romance would have been 10x more beautiful than amy & laurie's could b. it's just wrong for movie characters to switch like that. real people, one thing. movie characters, entirely another
@SaltwaterAir1 omg this made me so sad that they didn't end up together. i don't undersatnd still to this day why the HELL the author made him go with amy instead...jo and laurie was perfect.

@jualkyn She made Amy go with Laurie because the book was based on her own life and family.
