  • I loved this video, thanks!

  • this guy knows his shit all i hear is due to the symmetry of the isosolees triangle point eight of the microspectrum is caused by one third of the pathagerom theorm but most recently biological canisters show mild wear at about six fourths of their sixth regement.yeah....i like guns but i dont know shit about them LOL.

  • @dothisdothat321 LOL,hahahaha SO TRUE! yea i LOL'ed.

  • On HKPRO,com I saw a suppressor built into a laser aiming module in the MK23 SOCOM section it looks very similar to the black box but it says it was just a prototype and never was produced.

  • Like the Mark 23 with Box Silencer. Makes u look like u have an SMG :)

  • nice but no one can buy aht guns they coast to much

  • !@#$.... The flash-hider is made of Inconel too? Expensive... and must be a pain to machine.

  • Does anyone know what happened with AAC's Black box? It was really hyped, but news about it pretty much stopped.

  • Nice, I loved the whole thing start to finish.

  • Excuse?? You're right, there are no excuses, just good REASONS.

  • Just curious... what good reasons are we talking about?

  • Sounds reduction equates to elimination of hearing loss and noise pollution (lots of folks with ample have shooting ranges on their property). Also new shooters can get used to firearms without being intimidated by flash and excess noise. Furthermore, there are countries in Europe where suppressors are not only allowed, but encouraged for hunting.

Now, please enlighten us as to why you think no one on Earth should be allowed to own one??

  • Zing!

*Places his bets and grabs popcorn & cola*

  • hahahahahahaha sometimes the comments are more entertaining than the videos :)

  • This is the land of the free, not the land of what people think how others should live. There is no reason in the world why anyone shouldn't be allowed to use silencers, the same people who say that crap also complain about gun noise.

  • You don't know shit stop inpliing about somthing you know nothing about go back to blogging about airsoft and beenie babbies.

  • Most ridiculous reply ever. Suppressors are not Hollywood quiet. The firearms still make noise. That is unavoidable. Your comments about killing a whole school are comical at best.

How do you feel about sports cars? You could mow down a whole crowd with a Corvette pretty effectively and then just zoom away before anyone gets your tag and calls the cops. Do you have a problem with anything else that can kill people? What's next? ban lightning?

  • instruments to kill people? i doubt you own shit other than airsoft toys. if you really knew anything about guns you would know that supressors are still loud and you aren't going to kill people silently with anything other than an integrally supressed weapon with subsonic ammo. and even then they still aren't that quiet in combat effective callibers.

  • You are obviously what the firearms community refers to as a FUDD. Have you ever heard of Jim Zumbo? You might want to look into his story...

  • @morningtruth silencers are nice, they are a courtesey to other shooters, i personally believe that more people should own them, it would makes shooting ranges alot nicer and calmer.

  • @morningtruth Haha it's not about having an excuse or shame when using a firearm with a suppressor. At All. And i don't see where that was EVER brought up. It's about being SENSIBLE. Using a suppressor while practicing, training, or just having fun at the range - is SENSIBLE. Stop with the nonsense kid.

  • @morningtruth HOW can you own 20 firearms and STILL not recognize the benefits of SUPPRESSORS. You are either a liar, or a fool.

  • Yea, because it's real hard to kill someone silently without a gun even.

  • actually, "silencers" aren't that silent. the fact that you think so just shows that you know jack and shit and have watched too many fucking movies. supressors, their true name, are actually meant to preserve the hearing of the operator in a combat situation. if you were getting shot at with a supressed weapon, you would hear it. the sound would just me muffled to protect the hearing of the shooter.

  • where you can use a silencer? i mean legally, except army. because i cant find one example, if you are going too answer me please tell me country you are talking about

  • Here in the US, sound suppressors are legal for ownership in 35 of the 50 states, provided the owner has gone through the appropriate channels and has the proper paperwork. They are allowed at most shooting ranges as well. See my video "4th of July with On Point Firearms" for example...

  • where i live you get like a 10 year sentence for haveing a suppresor on a gun

  • where i live people are smart enough not to get caught....I mean wtf do you have to do to get caught with one...shoot it in the middle of the street??Its the same thing with our airgun laws, nobody fucking registeres them..its a joke.you would have to shoot a person in a crime before the cops would even care.

  • sometime public ranges have managers who will call the cops if they see something they don't like, especially if that is going to damage the reputation of their range

  • finally someone understands!

  • What the heck is a thread pitch?

  • Not true. NFA items are completely legal if you have the paperwork to go along with it. In fact, NFA items are legal in most of the 50 states.

  • If that is true i stand corrected. However how does a civilian get that class license to carry a silenced wewapon. I bet it is so hard and expensive that unless u are in law enforcment or the military it is close to impossible own such a device. Saying that i would love to own one and respect the quality and craftsmanship that u have put into those silencers. Great video keep them coming.

  • hey me again it cost 200. for the gov to do a back ground check and you have to have the card finger printed and have your sheriff or cheif of the police sing it 1 of them thats all if you can buy a firearm you can buy 1 of these to

  • there are some states wear you can buy them and use them hear in ohio and wv you can i have 1 on my 270wby i use for deer hunting and shot at cans

  • woot gun was that in 1:56?

  • If I rememeber correctly, it was an HK USP Tactical .45 with a fixed rear combat sight rather than the adjustable one.

  • Its a H&K Mk.23 popularly know as the SOCOM. Its a bit too big to be a USP

  • no, it is a USP full size tactical. I know I have one. The Mk23 comes with its own magazine floor plate that is flat, unlike regular USPs with the slant pinky placement floor plate. MK23 triggar guard is also of different shape than shown.

  • to bad i live in California : (

  • Awesome video - I need a couple of those suppressors...

  • I'll bet that is an extremely dangerous black market?

    Gun control is dumb.

  • Nope, you can buy AR-15's. Steyr F88's and all kinds of pistols. I'm getting a STI International Trojan in .38 Super when I've saved up enough.

  • prodigy , civilian market, if your a hitman...

  • I would have liked to have seen it perform on the range.

  • Piscivorus is right

  • I thought silencers were banned in the US?

  • None of the enumerated powers of the federal government gives it the authority to ban anything related to arms whatsoever. The 2nd Amendment prohibit all state and local governments from doing so as well.

  • I wish this was entirely true. They were able to ban hand guns in DC for how many years?

  • Yes however DC is not technically a state, which is probably why.

  • is there any way u can put a silencer to an m24? i havent seen any

  • i think they heat up too much

  • the m24? rly?

  • i need one of those beautis

  • That .45 can reminds me of the prototype can that was submitted with the HK Mk23 SOCOM pistol, way back when. It was a square model, kinda like the AAC suppressor. Makes me wish I'd kept my USP45.

  • That's exactly what I was thinking when he pulled out the .45

  • cool video, but all talk & no shots :(

  • SHOT Show is an industry trade show, not a shooting range extravaganza. This video is press coverage from the show.

  • I knew someone was gonna say something, but yes I am aware of that but what I meant was hopefully they'd cut to a different scene at a firing range and have a product demonstration

  • That .45 silencer is beautiful :) Reminds me of the front portion of a Desert Eagle.

  • where can i get these guns and silencers?

  • These are for military operation and cannot be purchased on the consumer market

  • He said for the handgun silencers that they were for the civlian market.

  • Suppressors are illegal in my state, my bad.

  • They are in mine too.

  • any gun store will sell them to you if you fill out the paper work and pay your $200 "tax stamp" my local gun store HERO-GEAR sells them and there perfectly legal in ALMOST every single state in the United States ps that black box silencer is the shit trust me

  • new jersey doesnt...

is a transferable machine gun legal in NJ

  • These guys make a rifle that has a full barrel which looks like one long suppressor. It's a piece of art.

  • Damn i feel like pwning counter-strike right now!

  • the silencer that you can clean is a good idea since those things dirty pretty easily.

  • SHOOT something! why else woudl i watch this

  • This isn't a video game, this is real technology. If you want to see people randomly shooting, go watch videos OTHER THAN "SHOT Show" videos, and bask in their amateur video essence. This is big boy territory, so take your ball and go home.

  • Haha, nicely said!

  • freddy thompson. what a G

  • i want his job.

  • amen to that, i'd love a job like this

  • Same here...

  • i would like to try that .45 silencer. thats pretty sweet.

  • I came....

  • silencer pistol for "Civilian Market" lol

  • If you shoot in a private firing range, you might want a silencer. There are people near my neighborhood with one, and you can hear machine gun fire all the time. People want to ban it, but its perfectly legal, and they have a license. The noise however, is quite annoying, so they could use silencers. Yes, for the CIVILIAN market.

  • damn some of those silencers are intimidating

  • r silencers legal?

  • Depends, where are you from? In Britain there are four levels, the two for replica and air-soft guns do not require permits, while hunters and target shooters require police-issue permits, no other exceptions. In the US it is legal in thirty-five of the fifty states for an individual to possess and use a suppressor. However, all transactions require a process administered by the ATF, $200 tax and THOROUGH background check. Only applicapable reasons for ownership: target-shooting.

  • would you happen to know if they are legal in georgia?

  • Yes, they are legal to own in Ga. I have three of them

  • r silencers legal?

  • Very nice video- thanks for the post.

  • bravo. Great video and well stated.

  • I love how almost all of these comments have nothing to do with the video. That's a sign of a nicely controversial video.

Anyway, I really enjoyed this video, that company does pretty good looking work.

  • yeaaa!! very nice guns, im amazed. up here in canada our gun laws are very weak, they prevent people from protecting themselves and its absolutely ridiculous. I'm looking to buy a BMW very soon, and I will have no protection from anyone trying to break into it, and also have no protection from irate drunkards coming out of bars who want to fight for no good reason at all. Anyone committing these acts is very deserving of what some would call inhumane acts: GETTING SHOT!

  • I'm a total gun noob but, what does "hearing-safe" mean ?

  • Basically it means that you do not need any ear-protection when firing. Usually target-shooters wear ear-plugs or headset ear-protection. A Silencer takes away the "bang" to the level where you don't need ear-protection, in most instances.

  • Yeah, or a more beneficial reason is to make enemies not hear you... It's called stealth...

  • Have you ever even heard a silenced weapon? You CAN hear the shot. Look up some of the videos hear on youtube. "Silencer" is really a mis-leading term. The only thing they can do is mask where exactly a shot came from. The flash, and the sound is suppressed just enough that unless you are looking straight at the guy shooting, you won't be able to tell where the shot came from.

  • them how much do they cost

  • I'll take 2 of each, black, and I gots to have'm today.

  • what I'm curious about is why the baffle are angled...

  • If you think about how the gas travels through the suppressor, the gas will fill more of each chamber if they are slanted.

  • Thats seems logical,I've just never seen it before.

    Fixed too thats different.

  • to have more surface area for the gasses to be dispersed on, just like if you slice a loaf of bread on a biased angle, there's more surface area, so there's more space in the can for the gas to be retained 8)'

  • now I see. too bad I can;t replicate at home...

  • mama ATF wouldn't appreciate that too much. it's worth the patience & cost to get a legit one, but not worth 25 years in federal prison for manufacturing one without a license to do so.

  • no u cant silence any gun with any kind of bottle.

  • Actually, you can. If you look at any design of a sound suppressor, the only thing that it does is allow the sudden rush of gas to expand before entering the air and creating sound waves (the sound of the gunshot). However, a suppressor (or a bottle) will do nothing to suppress the sonic boom of the bullet traveling faster than the speed of sound.

  • BLA BLA BLA

  • i was wonderin...if u stick an empty bottle to end of a gun then shoot it...will it really silence the gun? saw this in the movie shooter

  • less talk, more shoot!

  • Wow that was in GA. Wish I could have went.

  • Wow. Freddy looks a lot like Robert.

  • wats the first gun?

  • It's the elusive Fabrique Nationale SCAR-L 5.56mm carbine.

  • Hmmm an efficient hand gun with silencer geared towards "civilian market".

  • Hmm?

  • In Finland there are no restrictions on silencers.

    Wonder why?

It's because alarmist politicians attack perfectly normal gun accessories like sound suppressors.

Thus, a practical tool that saves hearing and increases safety has been demonized in the US for no good reason.

  • Mmm, except for the fact that it can be used for much stealthier killings lol.

  • Yes, because if you hand a normal person a fire-arm with a suppressor instantly becomes a ruthless killer.

You can keep your feel-good legislation to yourself; I don't want to delude myself into feeling safer if I'm really not.

  • I'm not saying you have to ban them, but I do think you should have to do some extra paperwork to keep them off criminals. I was supposed to be replying to a comment somewhere where someone was saying you shouldn't need to do any paperwork.

  • The law abiding citizen shouldn't: a simple NCIS background check should be enough.

Criminals aren't afraid of prison anymore; in fact, it makes them cooler within their gangs.

They don't care if guns make a lot of noise, and they sure as hell aren't going to spend 1000 dollars to make the gun a little quieter.

  • Since when is it OK in America to punish/ restrict someone because of what they might do?

You don't assume that people with sports cars are going to go 100 miles an hour every chance they get, do you?

Why do the same with gun owners?

  • Well, do you have to have a licence to drive a car? Yes. Should you need a licence to own a gun? Yes. It is no different. Having a licence is not a punishment. It requires discipline and privilege, something you can prove with your licence.

  • The right to drive isn't secured by the constitution.

  • Having a licence doesn't take away your right! OMG you Americans are greedy. Do you think you should have the right to bear nukes? They're an arm. If you had a licence for firearms there could be better control of firearms and keeping them off crims. I could walk into a store in America, buy a gun, then walk outside and start shooting. You are just too patriotic to see any sense in anything.

  • any argument started with OMG is bound to be both intellectual and informative.

We have existing laws in the US that keep the people most likely to commit crimes from owning frie-arms.

It's called the NICS background check.

You could, in fact, do that.

You could, in fact, run over a number of people in your car.

Ownership does not equal malicious intent.

    That is ridiculous.

  • If the person is interviewed first, referred by others, and does a safety test, that will filter out a lot of the nutters. Most mass killings are done by people with no criminal background -- but they could quite possibly be stopped by recognising the personality of the person.

And how often do you hear about intended mass killings with cars? Why didn't Cho use a car to kill 32 people?

  • But no, you Americans are too blind to see any benefit in a licencing system; instead you would rather the government introduce stupid legislation that 'neuters' the appearance of your firearms to remove apparently 'evil features' -- which have no effect on the lethality of the firearm anyway.

  • honestly man, I wouldn't mind a very controlled form of fire-arm licensing.

You have to understand our situation, though.

Every single day, there are senators writing legislation that would ban guns or cripple the fire-arm industry.

Every day we have to worry about one of our RIGHTS being taken away.

In a perfect world, yes, I would like fire-arm licensing; I've seen stupid people doing stupid things with guns.

However, if we were to allow it now, the anti-gun movement would take advantage.

  • And FFS I'm not anti-gun; I love guns, but like a car or anything else that requires responsibilty, you should have to have a licence. That is something the rest of the world has understood for years.

  • That is why we can't give them even an inch.

If we give an inch, they try to take everything.

Also, I don't want the anti-gun members of our government knowing what I own, and where I keep it.

Look at New Orleans; as soon as disaster struck, marshal law set in, and the gov't took away people's means of defense when they needed it most.

    This isn't a perfect world.

  • Actually, here in CA, they dive that fast in anything. Not the most effective reasoning. It's true though. It only makes things harder on the innocent. The bad guys can just buy out of the back of a van.

  • I just jizzed myself. ;-)

  • amen

  • You can say that again.

  • kommiekillah,try i fucked kommiekillah's mother dot com

  • Die.

  • lol did he said silencer for civilian gun ??

  • Yes, sound suppressors are legal for civlian purchase in many states, provded all NFA laws are followed.

  • You are 33 years old and still in school?

That tells us a lot about the school system in Belgium. P.S. Your comment was far from funny!

  • scars and sr25s rock.

  • Is that pistol a P99????

  • he said its a .22 can, so im guseeing its a p22, the p99 lil' bro

  • At 1:16 it sounds like he´s saying "thread bitch".

  • lol it does sound like he said that

  • sounded like he did

  • he says thread pitch. sould like bitch tho lol

  • F. Wayne Thompson, you're freaking me out dude.

  • and now I know what i want for my birtay

  • i hope you get hit by a car

  • I don't understand why they make silencers for 223 or any high power rifles. The 223 travels 2-3 times faster sound, how is it going to be silent?

  • They are called "Suppressors" for that very reason.

  • 2 sounds. One is the rapid expansion of gas out the barrel (like a balloon pop), the other is what you mention (sonic boom.) Using a suppressor you can change the sound signature so that the pop is less like a gun. Combine that with sub-sonic ammunition and the shot is much more quiet. But even with supersonic ammunition the velocity of a bullet past 600 yards drops below the speed of sound so you could shoot past the target all day without them knowing.

  • Don't hold me to this as science. But some general ideas to carry away are there I believe. (^_^)

  • spikeyhairazn, soft...next Virginia tech haah I wouldn't shoot you with all these nice guns, I'd stab you to feel the kill.

  • That is just sad...

  • Oh my God what are people bickering about?

Anyway. Great video, really informative. I had no idea what the baffle even looked like in a real steel suppressor - just the foam you get in an airsoft one. I wish I lived in the US so I could get to play with (sensibly, of course) all these beautiful pieces of technological perfection.

  • umm okay i gess so? ill just shoot u without a silencer MR MATYOKA

  • So now we're on to cyber threats? Most people who own guns know about the NFA laws. That's why you came across as anti-gun. If you are, in fact, an anti-gunner, how you going to shoot Matyoka? ;) Responsible gun owners don't make threats, they train and prepare for the worst.

  • spikeyhairazn (1 week ago)

silencers are pretty much ILLEGAL in MOST states!

Hahahaha, man I have to laugh at people like spikey... Dude, silencers or suppressors are legal in at least 35 states. Pretty much these videos are illegal too huh ? I own 3 silenced weapons, and nothing is more fun than shooting in my backyard while my neighbour is moving his lawn. You guessed which backyard is more noisy, right? One advice: before you yapp, get the facts straight.

  • silencers are pretty much ILLEGAL in MOST states!

  • Not true, most states allow NFA (National Firearms Act) items, which uncludes short-barreled rifles & shotguns and silencers/suppressors. You just need to get the paperwork, get the signatures required, and pay the $200 tax stamp. Most pople don't want to go through all the hoops, and most simply can't afford NFA stuff.

  • You live in lalaland my friend. Get your facts straight before commenting on anything. I own 3 silencers and I live in one of the 50 states....
