  • awesome! poor audio though :|

  • NONE of his videos should have ANY dislike bar...

  • 65 to 17 is not really fair. This is a real good performance!

  • L'isle joyeuse

  • poor technique?! I'm 18 right now, wish I could play like that!

  • Youre Awesome! :D

  • I really don't think he was fishing for compliments by apologizing. Japanese people apologize for everything... it's just a part of their culture.

  • I love the dynamic changes you give to this piece. It really does bring out the life in the images given to your audience.

  • recording doesnt do the pianist justice. at least not on my headphones ;D

  • note storm. excellent performance!!

  • You have a strong technical grip on this piece. Really well done. Loved the entrance of the left hand into the melody, great characterization.

  • am i the only one who plays that final "a" with my left hand?? look at my video.

  • maybe, but in the music the last note is written for the right hand.

  • I'm pretty sure less than 1% of the people on this planet can play that piece. You did just fine.

  • I like your interpretation. The technique seemed at times a bit lacking, but perhaps you were just rushing a bit? Anyway I enjoyed listening.

  • Nice technique especially on the cross-overs and one of the best of this peice I have heard.

  • You played this excellently - but at some points the right hand seemed a little heavy. I loved your interpretation, though, and the left hand was really clear, which was great.

  • excelent realy!

  • Na shi feichang hao a! Wo ye neng zuo nage. (Duibuqi, wo Zhongwen shuode bu hao). Xie xie nin =)

  • The guy playing is Japanese, not Chinese :-/

  • Song?

    What am I saying.

'A true piece of art and masterwork.'

  • Man, great playing!

I practice hard on pieces of Claude Debussy and also Satie.

I'm getting closer and closer and I'm almost at the moment that I can fully play this song.

But to get to the point.

I did this with your help.

This inspires people, but also shows that there are still talented musicians in the world.

    You learned me the basics.

You can start easy, but if I can't get further I watch your video.

    So, thanks.

    WZx

  • whoa. this video actually has quite nice quality of video. xD

  • Jaguar seems to have a tuner shoved up their 14 going on 47 ass. Haha. Make videos and show us your lack of talent then. =]

  • Personally, I think that this piece is not a scherzo and not a show piece. It's fairly difficult, but I think it should be more "happy" and not all juiced up on coffee and energy drinks.

I think if it were slowed down a bit then there wouldn't be so many missed notes and sloppy bits.

Just my opinion though. The technique has a lot of promise.

  • Amazing playing!!! How old are you>? and how long have you been playing the piano?

  • Ummm Does it matter what age we are? It's not a big deal so people can chill about it especially Jaguar.

i love this peice of claude. Very good song to express love Heehee

    Nice job man

    100/5

  • personally, i think this song could be played softer. i don't play much, but this song to me seems like it should be slowed down just a smidge, and played slightly softer. ^_^ good job tho

  • you can afford to play a lot more lightly. you're very heavy. work on nimbleness i guess; your fingers seem to get caught on a few of the runs

  • ...what's your deal?

  • すばらしい奏楽!

  • THis is cool thanks for music

  • all from memory, no sheet music, amazing!!

  • Yeah, thats very amazing actually. Debussy's music is very hard to do covers of.

  • You are a master!

  • The quality isnt that bad ethier.

  • "Sorry for my poor technique..."

haha, can't stop laughing! He's got to be kidding...

  • when people apologize for things that are obviously not wrong, seems like they're fishing for something complimentary or an impressed and humbled response..

so. great playing. yeah... maybe your technique needs work. but maybe you could be less selfhumbled and more confident in your abilities and talents.

    nice

  • Agreed, you cannot imorovise talent, but you can give the best of you in any situation..if natural talent is there, it will show..

Just to be prone to do something artistic is a blessing..<<<<<<<<<<love

  • @S3Suggs

I very often write similar descriptions. Check out this comment on one of my videos from a fan trying to explain why musicians see flaws in their playing more than others.

  • @S3Suggs"I get why he does it. I'm an artist, and I say the same kind of things. Everyone else thinks I'm insane for saying that, or that I'm trying to be rude to artists who aren't as good, but it's not true. What the artist sees of his/her own work is much different than what everyone else sees. The artist sees every little flaw in their work or performance, while the audience usually sees the big picture. I'm not saying it's right to condescend your own work, but I just thought I'd comment."

  • @kylelandry I agree with you. As a visual artist I'm plagued by little flaws that only I can see.The viewer sees the whole picture, while I see the pictures within the picture.

  • "poor technique"? you have excellent technique sir!

  • i agree . . . maybe he could sit up straighter, but all in all he's got better posture and technique then most people on youtube

  • real nice job...im 13 and just starting this piece :)

  • 13? this is some pretty monumental debussy. how often do you practice?

  • ive been playing since i was four, maybe 1.5 hrs a day...not as much as i should lol, not nearly as well as here obviously

  • well now that i think about it, that may be pheasable, considering i'm 15 and i'm starting jeux d'eau.

  • wait are you 14 or 47 lol...im not the greatest fan of debussy actually. but i really like this piece, i did my first performance of it this past weekend

  • Yundi Li won the International Chopin Competition at 18

  • You have a great talent, so young and playing these songs with great technique :)
